My all-time favorite Cowboy and for those who were fortunate enough to see him play, they know Roger the Dodger was the best QB and probably player to ever wear the Blue Star. Staubach came in as a rookie at 27 yrs. old after serving his country for four years. He played for ten years and led the Cowboys to five Super Bowl appearances and two championships. Numerous comeback victories and spearheaded the modern-day two-minute offense with Coach Tom Landry. Nothing against Aikman, but Roger was never surrounded with the great offensive players that Troy was. Tony Dorsett did not come around until Roger's final three seasons. Drew Pearson was his best receiver and Tony Hill was around for his final two or three seasons. Roger along with Terry Bradshaw was the best QB of the 70s and many would prefer Roger because of his mobility.
