I think I first visited Chipotle 2002-2003. From then, I still continue to habitually stake out the nearest Chipotle, where I always order the exact same thing--large quesadilla with carne asada, side of sour cream, and a regular soda (Coke mixed with lemonade). I could do it every day, forever. Simply amazing!

Delicious. A bit expensive but it's definitely a hearty amount of serving they give you at Chipotle! Yum!
outlawgt 12/10/2009
Best Burrito I have had in years, Wish they didn't charge you for the Guac though. But I would recommend this place to anyone
stafford 10/26/2009
I go to many of these places and they are all top notch operations
foodmaster1990 10/01/2009
AMAZINGAMAZINGAMAZING!!!!!!! so Flavorful.... U can make it just how u want it too:) and no. its not like regular mexican food. its way better. five stars isnt enough to rate this. it needs 10. People who think chipotle isnt good, have no taste in food... They prob think Mc Donalds the best or burger king or some horrible FF restaurant like that...
pjsac1 12/19/2008
Good, but their portions are skimpy.
TheCavsfan 12/18/2008
The food is good. It could be better, but this is a chain. However, it is expensive. Despite the cost, I don't think my friends (or anyone for that matter) should pay for it with plastic. They really get your wallet with the chips and salsa. I can understand charging extra for guacamole. However $1.25 is too much. It is nice how they try to be environmentally friendly. In the end, I spend time in the john.

Cheap, run-of-the-mill fake Mexican Food. Food from Chipotle raises my blood pressure for more than one reason.
First, it's overpriced. Baja Fresh gives free tortilla chips and salsa plus a burrito that's larger for the price of one burrito at Chipotle. The local non-corporate Mexican restaurant almost always has much cheaper, authentic, filling food.
Next, the ingredients always give me a heartburn. Very acidic ingredients are mixed in a tortilla wrap that isnt even toasted. Each ingredient comes in a rectangular metal container that was probably prepared in the morning and left to stew and oxidize in the air and light for the rest of the day.
And finally, the service is Taco Bell quality.
Moosekarloff 10/09/2008
Flavorless food, or what I guess is supposed to be food. Institutional environments in the restaurants that bring to mind prisons or bank lobbies. The outlets of this chain in my area charge a higher price for their crappy fare than the local hole in the wall establishments hawking a much superior product. But, Americans are slobs who couldn't recognize quality if it came up and spit in their faces, so, they'll flock to crapatoriums like this, sheep that they are. Bah, bah...
boxergirl92109 10/02/2008
The carnitas are great considering I can get it in about 5 mins. The tortillas are kinda rubbery. The salsa is great but a little spicy. Living in CA, this is on the more expensive side for burritos.
Kitty77 09/22/2008
I love Chipotle's-I just wish we had one in the town I recently moved to. I always got the chicken burrito bowl with guacamole...yummy!

Chalky Studebaker wins the ignorant comment of the year award. If you don't like Mexicans, stay away from Mexican food. For what it is - a chain - Chipotle Grill isn't bad. I especially like their salad option. Good hot sauce also.
Chalky 09/10/2008
Chipotle is okay but I think it needs to be looked at by Immigration Authorities. Nobody speaks English. Mucho bad
Iceicesharon 08/05/2008
I eat here almost everyday.
mtastic 08/03/2008
I eat Chipotle probably more than I should. I really enjoy how everything they serve tastes both fresh and unique. I also feel rather healthy after eating there.
Randyman 07/07/2008
Fair but overrated. The burritos are edible but not outstanding.
eyebrowqueen23 06/26/2008
I like that their meat and veggies are organic, and they use partially recycled everything to build their stores. The tacos and burrito bowls are my fave. The margaritas are strong tho!
hoosierbear 06/14/2008
Really good food, and I simply love the rice. I prefer it on the side. The burritos are too big to eat in one sitting. There is a place here in Springfield Mo that I like a little better because of the salsas, and Pork Pible; but I like the rice better in here, and Chipotle is open later, and on Sunday.
acurleegirlee 06/04/2008
Yummy - if I'm bold enough to try and eat mexican fast food, this is the place I go. Really good chicken tacos, and I like that you can choose whatever you want to put into them.
Mr.Tuner 02/24/2008
they are pretty good. i love there tacos. well the shredded beef ones anyway.
meg10222 01/13/2008
My favorite place to go for tacos, even though there is a taco bell across the street. Really good sized servings.
xxhopingtearsx x 10/23/2007
This place is great. Not in the mood for it all the time but it's great. The Chipotle where I'm at, i used to find wood chips in there.. Which was gross but I don't see any anymore. But the employees still laugh everytime I order guacamole.
Salemcat111 04/14/2007
This place ROCKS!! Best Guac around!!
oscargamblesfr o 02/20/2007
It's very good, and the portions are just right- a lot of places give you either way too much or a skimpy serving.
MacDad 12/24/2006
DELICIOUS, so many good salsas, the corn salsa i the best. Try all the meats. Fajaita burrito is the way to go.
minkey 12/04/2006
Kind of upscale for a fast food Mexican restaurant owned by McDonalds. They try and be environmentally conscious, letting customers know that their animals are treated fairly and they try to buy mostly organically grown beans. My favorite are the 4 hard tacos with pork, topped with the cooked onions and peppers, and some sour cream and hot sauce.
Ventoux1 11/27/2006
Servings enormous. Close to health food if you watch the cheese! This is a healthy, bargain lunch. Just wish one was closer to my office. Here in Texas the architecture features unpainted, rusting steel which is very cool.
phx411 10/22/2006
The price and serving portions are a great value. I normally stick with the barbacoa.
BlessedBeSiame se 08/03/2006
I personally don't know a lot about Chipolte or who owns them and don't really care about all that anyway. I do like what they have to offer, but wish that they would offer a milder corn salsa as I love that, but my tongue can't take it! I live in a small city and we don't have Baja Fresh so can't really compare it to that, but it is better than Taco Bell, lol. My Hubby doesn't like Chipolte at all and says there is nothing special about them and they are overpriced so there ya have it on his word. There burritos are huge and hard to eat since the tortilla is soggy and chewy so I tried the burrito bowl with lettuce and I liked that better, but my co-workers are saying to get the burrito bowl and then get chips and you will be in heaven so I will be trying that the next time I go. I really like the pork the best too.

hrpuffnstuff 03/26/2006
where i live in manassas va, the burritos average about 20ozs. apiece ! ! ! . . .i manage to eat 2 at a time. it freaks the people at chipotle out when i tell them i eat 2 ! ! ! good stuff by the way ! ! !

Chipotle's food tastes fresh and tastes great. Their fajitas are to die for! However, I still wish they offered seafood. A shrimp or scallops fajita would be killer, and would draw me to their store a lot more frequently. Are you listening Mr. Ells/Chipotles execs?
NinaSky21 11/29/2005
Just to clear everything up. Chipotle was started in 1992 by one man named Steve Ells. McDonalds came in years later as an investor. Chipotle was not McDonalds idea. They have no control over the food, philosphy, marketing, etc. They have however helped Chipotle expand into many different markets. Many of the meats in certain markets are naturally raised - which means the animals Chipotle uses receive no hormones or steroids in their lifetime. Chipotle's culture is based on "Food with itegrity" and sustainable farming. They inspect their farmers themselves to ensure standards are met and the animals are treated humanely.
astaples 08/30/2005
Very unhealthy for you if you eat a whole burrito, but man oh boy is it ever tasty! This is terrific food, and a brilliant idea by McDonalds. I won't touch a McDonalds with a 10 foot pole, but I'll eat at Chipotle once or twice a month if I can behave (even though it's nearly as bad for you). If you haven't tried one, you should ... that is UNLESS you are not good with disapline and might start eating there every day, which is easy to do. My only complaint: at our local restaurants, I feel like they always give the ladies more meat than they do to the guys! Once in a while a woman will make my burrito and give me a ton of meat, but usually they skimp on it (especially the dudes). Oh well - still more than I can eat in one sitting!
FandeSlayer 08/27/2005
Very good food. You'd be surprised to learn that it's owned by McDonalds. It has good food, much better than Baja Fresh.
sarahmcquade 07/30/2005
I love Chipotle, but I would like to make this stuff at home. Anyone know how to make the salsa's and the chicken? Yammmmmm...please help, only the real stuff counts.
KC2DC 04/12/2005
I love Chipotle! My belly always leaves there happy! Friendly people, great food, not outrageously expensive...
ChipotleRyan 01/20/2005
So good I created a website dedicated to it over a year ago http://www.chipotlelovers.com
Quazi 12/18/2004
Rockin Burritos, awesome service and more than you can bear to eat. Totaly worth the $$. One more word GUACAMOLE!!! RaterX- Get it right! I work for them (Chipotle) and Mc Donalds IS only an investor. THX! Shenandoah52!
BugahaNE 12/18/2004
I was very pleased, one opened for the first time here, friendly employees, clean, tasty fresh inexpensive food. We will see if the standards hold up.
diverski 12/18/2004
Purely Amazing!
RaterX 11/20/2004
shenandoah52 - yes McDonald's does indeed own Chipolte. Great fresh delicious burritos & tacos made to order by imported non-English speaking labor.
shenandoah52 11/09/2004
Fresh, delicious, great ingredients and great value. Love the naturally raised meats! And,FYI Micky D's does not own Chipotle. They are a major investor. Chipotle is still a private company.
midwesterner19 09/28/2004
The best five dollars you will ever spend at a chain. These burrito's are wonderful.
frogger20190 09/14/2004
Overrated---and the place is owned by McDonalds, so don't let the healthy ads fool you. The burritos are EXTREMELY filling. The place is trendy, but that's about it.
thekirk 08/18/2004
Delicious burritos, would recommend any mexican food lover to try Chipotle.
