One good rim, one so-so chronically missing a net with both maybe an inch too high. Tennis court surface, slightly short court. Getting there from Masonic is difficult and for locals only. Use Divisadero which turns into Castro and make a right on States. Park near 183 State and walk up the little road (on top there are two parking spots, one being handicapped). Good news is the amazing view and nice realitive weather compared to the rest of the City.

Situated in a quiet spot just beneath the Randall Museum, this basketball site makes the good players appear like stars. Talk is pretty cheap but the ballers are neighborly (if they think you have game.) Props do not come easily though... The run is steady and the competition is light but don't expect NOT to break a sweat... Games are consistent, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays... 10:45 sharp! On Saturdays, a second wave of "cats" roll into the house (1pm) so plan for a longer day if you have the stamina or be sure to pace yourself and keep some in your reserves. The views are particularly stunning... The backdrop of Twin Peaks, Noe Valley and the Mission are all right there... On a clear day, you can get a unique look of the SF skyline inclusive of the Bay Bridge and the TransAmerica Building. The run is a bit "chippy" but don't fear... "the bark" is much louder than "the bite". Just a bunch of guys looking for a bit of run and respect... Challenge yourself by bringing "your run" to see if you get props... By the way, if you listen carefully... you'll be sure to pick up some new vocabulary as well! The rims are thin and forgiving... The court is wide and allows you to spread for isolations nicely... One thing I noticed... a lot of regulars... Knowing opponents names is pretty common... They also love to throw the long ball on this court so make sure you brush up on those defensive back skills!
