Did I mention that I don't like hospital shows? That goes double for shows about doctors, interns, nurses and such ilk.

I like it more now than when it first came out. I sometimes watch it in syndication. Silly but funny and likable characters.

This show cracks me up everytime that i watch it! Very funny stuff!

For a couple of seasons, this hip comedy was a winner, but when a show is supposed to be about kids, and they start looking like they might soon be eligible for AARP, it's time to either end the series or recast it.

Some of the things in this show make me wonder what the writers are on but its funny.

I resent having to give this show even ONE star. Every single episode of 'Scrubs' is 22 minutes of the worst kind of most irritating, unfunny, soul-grating, sugar-coated over-ripe cheese, "IM-SO-KOOKY-HOW-RANDOM-IS-THIS?", sentimental, life's-rich-tapestry, twee, smug, schmaltzy, jam-for-brains-moronic, preachy, moralising, 100mph jet-spray of radioactive swine effluent. And you know it. "Whats the moral of this story? What did we learn today? Perhaps that every day life throws us lots of little tests, but with a little help and love from our friends, everything will be o.k. Awww." Whatever, 'Scrubs' can piss RIGHT off and shove its "randomness" and its condescending, unbelievably annoying voiceovers up its own rose-scented arse.

Its probably the one of the most unconventional comedies around. The combination of innovative screenplay, single camera set up, absence of background laughter tracks and amazing music makes this probably the most endearing of all shows. Its hard to classify this show as a sitcom as it is so much more! Sure, conventional sitcoms like Friends, Frasier etc were good but it was just way too predictable. The cliched punchlines and romantic moments combined with pretty inane background laughter tracks are passe.
Scrubs is able to impart simple life lessons through the use of comedy which I believe is the best use of this genre. It does all this without being too preachy or melodramatic. The comic part is taken care of by hilarious and absolutely insane imagination and daydreams of the lead character( J.D. played by Zach Braff). The rest of the cast is also impressively fleshed out and seem completely genuine and likeable.
I totally disagree with the notion that this a comedy for 12 year olds and the like. It is ideal for young adults making their way in the world. They can connect with the characters instantly.

this show sucks. all my friends love it, and I have no idea why.

If you have no imagination or aspiration, then you will hate this show. It takes interesting life events and adds a boy meets world inner mono log (although much funnier). If you can't find the time to laugh at the simple things in life then this show isn't for you. and on a side note, the first two seasons were the funniest. then it went down hill.

Surreal escapism is a character that i frequently run upto that is why i can relate and find those sequences funny.i don't expect everybody to love it some people are just made not...funny.
sure i do like all the sarcasm but for me all the young actors have done a great job too.

But the really noteworthy powers are the writers, the way they incorporate the right amount of humour in those heart touching theme from which we all can seriously believe that we have learnt something. I couldn't be able to care less for the series if the head writer was changed from Bill Lawrence or J.D. was to be changed.

The cast of the scrubs as a whole are the present TV marvels we expect great from them. Sure it isn't
SEINFELD, yet it is a five star for me.


PS. I really enjoy the music it sort of evokes emotions in me.

I was never one to watch any shows on TV, only sports games such as basketball. When I was flipping through channels, I saw this show running and I thought this is a novel idea, a show about the life of a young physician. I'm aspiring to be one, and this show is amazing. It is original, its new, and its very funny. The comedy is one of a kind, and those who do not watch this show are missing out. Without a doubt, this show is a 5 star!!

One of my all time favorite comedies.It is unique,there hasn't been a show like it,ever. Zach Braff is such a talent and really carries the show in my opinion.

This show is horrible. I find it amazing that it's so wildly popular. I guess I shouldn't be so surprised when one of America's top comedians is Dane Cook.

[1/4/06 update] I was forced to watch an hour of Scrubs last night. This show's humor gets more sophmoric, scatological, and lame -- and it was bad to start with. It is stupid and horrid. Please put it off the air. If you think this is funny, you probably think "Pull my finger" was written by the comedy gods. [9/15/04 Update] I have downgraded Scrubs from 2 stars to 1 star. It is just not funny in any regard. I don't think it's me; I still laugh like a nut when I watch Seinfeld reruns. I even laugh when I see a Three Stooges short for the 30th time. Scrubs tries hard; but I groaned audibly while watching the season opener, then fell asleep halfway through (must have got tired from all the groaning). I can only surmise that people who like this show, probably think Friends and Will and Gay are hilarious, Starbucks is good, SUVs are evil, and Kerry won't tax the brains out of the middle class. [Original Rating] Scrubs does nothing for me. My wife likes; but, I find the episodes ranging from marginally amusing at best, painful to watch as a norm, or so annoying I fell asleep on the couch to get away from it at its worst. I don't care for scatological humor (toilet jokes), the mainstay of Scrubs. You can't go through an episode where poopie references or flatulence isn't employed. Critics love it; but then again, they love Friends and Will and Grace too. Yes the show is quirky, particularly the over-the-top daydreams (which I particularly detest). But this was played out in Ally McBeal. The only redeeming factor of the show is Roger C. McGinley's acerbic portrayal of Dr. Cox. His bitter sarcasm, yet veiled compassion, is funny at times and is good acting. The rest of the characters are self-absorbed cretins. The show is overated.

Very underrated. This show is awesome. Sure there are some stinkers in the series, but most of the parts are just brilliant.

This is the most underrated show around! It never seems to get any love! I Love it!

Can there be a more over-rated show on T.V.? Maybe...but you'd have to go back almost 20 years ago to the days of Geraldo and his live television broadcast of the opening of Al Capone's Secret Vault to find it.

Funny, but nothing Emmy-winning. Scrubs is unique with its situations, narration, characters, and presentation, but it falls short of what it could be by throwing in useless, cheap gimmicks that sometimes ruin episodes.

One of the only shows on network television worth watching anymore. Clever writing -- usually pretty funny, but they even bring some heart to each episode without being sappy or corny.

I only watched a few episodes of this and it was so incredibly boring, and terribly un funny. a very dull way to waste time.

Although the recent couple of episodes haven't been quite up 2 scratch I think its a good show! I think they're relying too much on long story arcs and guest stars these days, cut it down a bit guys. Good acting on whole as well. The best actors IMHO in this series are John C McGinnley (Dr. Cox), Neil Flynn (Janitor) and Ken Jenkins (Dr. Kelso). Funny that, all the best actors in this series are the older, more experienced ones, that says something I guess. Good series! Peace!

Best comedy show on TV

One of the Last Funny sitcoms on TV. I really enjoy it. It is my kind of humor.

Very odd show. Never found it funny.

still a solid show, but has really slipped in quality this year. has gone the Will and Grace route with too many guest stars. also, seems that since his over-rated movie, Garden State, Zak Braff has become the main focus. i know his JD character does the narration, but it seems like he gets the only plot points now. everyone else is a sidekick.

I think it's a good show but it was better in the past because there was exciting stuff to happend like dr cox having a baby and Turk and Carla getting married.

there is no way this is not the funniest show on broadcast and one of the funniest on tv period.it's not the the average tv watcher that wants everything spelled out for them (alpepper) or for people who want the convention (lemonguy)! this is a show with some real bite to it and the jokes are faster paced then normal sitcoms. this show belongs on thursdays, then nbcthursdays can be ust see tv again because right now, it sucks big time.

Best Comedy on TV today. Beats Friends, Will & Grace, all other lame, overrated cheesy crap on TV. I am frankly suprised it is in NBC's lineup.

Scrubs is a delightful show. Well-written, funny, and those daydreams-who hasn't thought most of those things at one time or another? This won't be everyone's cup of tea, but most people will look forward to this departure from the ordinary.

Greatest show ever!

Too loony for a hospital show. When I want to watch a madcap comedy, I'll watch reruns of 3rd Rock from the Sun, thank you very much.

Scrubs is brilliant! The characters, writing, plots, chemistry, etc. is just superb. I love watching it every week. It saddens me to see such a fine show like Scrubs get ignored and treated like garbage while toxic waste like Everybody Loves Raymond gets so much praise and attention.

I like this show, it's not one that I go out of my way to watch, but if I'm around and remember I usually enjoy it.

It was pretty good up until recently. It seems like it's starting to suck a little.

When it first aired, it was the best show on television. Now, it is second only to Arrested Development. Scrubs must continue to appeal to a more intelligent audience and not succumb to network advertising sales.

my favorite show until AD came along, but great nonetheless. However, the recent episodes seem to be slipping in quality. Has anyone else noticed?

I just can't get enough of it!

A cute, quirky show. A bunch of different characters in one show, instead of all being the same, like some sitcom writers tend to do to their characters. I find Scrubs very entertaining and funny, my mother hates the show, though, and she always tells me what's wrong with it when I watch it, so I can see how others might look at it.

This show has been (since it's pilot) one of the few series I make it a point to watch. Most every episode is rewatchable at least a few times. Delivery is everything and most of the jokes would be unfunny if simply read. This is definately NOT a show for the pretentious, as it never tip toes around stupid humor. However, I think it does it in a way that you can't look at it as too childish. Every once and a while, an episode will deal with some pretty serious ideas, too. I usually hate when sitcoms do this, but Scrubs pulls it off nicely every time. The thing that seems to tie everything together is the music: Bar Naked Ladies, Ryan Adams, and Queen (to name very few) show that it's not afraid of using some music with substance. So why not a 5? Simply put, it's not a show that you can just jump into. A lot of the mannerisms have developed slowly since the characters' creation and the show is not nearly as funny or moving (that's right, I said moving) if you start somewhere in the middle. This is a pretty big flaw in the show, but it also makes Scrubs what it is. If each episode stood alone none of the relationships between characters or ideas or even visual styles would be as complex or interesting. Great show.

Extremely funny, brilliant with a great cast and best of all it's not done in front of an audience. One of the best written and funniest shows on television these days.

I absolutely adore this show. It has all the right qualities to be in the same lineup with the marvelous Friends. Cute, quirky and always hilarious, its great.

This comedy spanks any thing else on the TV. Takes me back to my student days, working in smelly restaurants and getting yelled at by hot-tempered chefs. Those were the days. Theres a little bit of truth in each program and the scriptwriters have a good understanding of human nature. If u haven't seen it ure in for a treat

I think this show is just too modern for me, but I do see the storylines are good and well thought out. It is a good show for other people to watch, I just can't get into it for some reason. I did enjoy the Heather Locklear shows though...;)

I loved this pilot and now it is literally the same show every week. You can even guess the lines. Stack it up against Doogie Howser some time, the similarities are chilling.

I don't know why, but I love this show!
