I seemed to be lucky enough to escape this. I tended to be shy and not interested in running with a crowd that was up to "No good" I am not perfect of course but did not fall in with the trouble makers.

Every chance I get within reasonable legal limits.

I never really ran with the bad crowd so to speak but I have however allowed negative surroundings influence my life. Our minds are like bottles (ready to be filled). If we fill our minds with bad thoughts or ideas, then that's how we will respond to situations. If we fill our minds with things or thoughts that are good then we will respond in a positive manner. A persons attitude can really influence their actions. A positive attitude will 9 times out of 10 produce positive results.

Wish I did more of this before cultural and economic forces forged me into the appearance of propriety. . .

One of the reasons I did so bad in school. But I don't blame anyone but myself for any bad choices I've made. On the upside, two of my best friends were also part of that same crowd and all three of us turned out okay (at least we think so) and remain close today.

When I think of a 'bad' crowd, I think of a whole lot of nasty people who cause trouble, get into fights, gossip and slander, commit crimes such as drug offences and theft and vandalism, the sort that bully everyone else. Yeah, real cool company! If your definition of a bad crowd is someone who is just not like everyone else, then this is no regret at all. But I would regret hanging around with a whole lot of people who bully others around or commit criminal offences. Because of the fact that they may try to force you into crime or if you did break up with them, they may get revenge on you. The bad crowd can influence you into drugs and alcohol. This is not my cup of tea and although it is not the biggest regret in my life, I rate it so highly because of the revenge factor once you realise they are the bad crowd and stop hanging around with them. Some of them are the sort (because they know you and even where you live) who would egg your house or gate crash a party you had. It is better to stay away from these sorts of people. Because the Apostle Paul said that bad company corrupts good character. That is so true.

Nope. I have friends in jail who love me like a brother. Some of them were money launderers, thieves, and other criminal activity. I've befriended many of them and I don't regret a day doing it.

I don't regret having all kinds of friends, and not just politically correct ones. Having all kinds of friends broadens one's perspective. People with unconventional lifestyles are not always necessarily bad people;they just have issues they're working through. I've had friends who liked to party hardy;I had some good times with them, but I also realized I didn't want to make heavy partying a way of life. Also keep in mind Jesus associated with undesirables because he saw the potential for good in them, and because he wanted to assist them in reaching that potential.

No. I've learned a lot from people who were considered part of the bad crowd. Hanging out with them doesn't make you bad by association, and really, I don't see why they're considered bad. So they made some bad choices, they don't wear the same crap everyone else wears, so what? Better than the uppity types who think they're better than others because of their grades or their clothes. My only regret is not being able to help the ones that needed help the most.
