Great cover songs collection. I love "I'm not in love".

Not only a beautiful woman with a great smile but her vocals are serious!

Tori Amos' worst is still light-years ahead of 90% of the rest of the music world. This covers album is half-brilliant. Songs like Rattlesnakes, New Age, Real Men, and Strange Little Girl are just brilliant. Her re-interpretation of Eminem's 97 Bonni and Clyde is a work of mad and chilling genius - like watching a really scary movie. Some of the songs are duds though - Happiness is a Warm Gun does *not* deserve its epic length. You'll either love or hate what she does to 'Heart of Gold' - personally I love it, but everyone else I know thinks her cover of that song was a massacre. Definently NOT the first album to get if you're looking to get into Tori Amos, but an interesting and good offering just the same.

Kudos to Tori for the valiant attempt; she pulls of some adventurous covers on this album, but you're better off buying the British and German pressings of her CD-singles, each of which has one or two or three "unreleased" tracks, a few of which are nify covers. Or better yet, go to a live show: once you've heard Tori live doing "Landslide," you'll burn all your Smashing Pumpkins and Dixie Chicks records forever. An absolute must for Tori fans, but not really for anybody else. If you're thinking of getting into Tori, this is NOT the first disc of hers you should buy!

One of the fewest and best cover albums out there.

This album does not quite live up to her previous work but it's still great to listen to. Her version of '97 Bonnie & Clyde sends chills down my spine everytime I listen to it. Strange Little Girl is another beautiful and quite fast song while Rattlesnake takes the whole thing to a slower level. Happiness is a warm gun didn't really make sense but was fun to listen to. The only thing that made me give it a 4 are the songs I'm not in love, which is too slow, and Enjoy the Silence, no one, not even Tori Amos should be allowed to torture such a beautiful song.
