i liked this product in 2005 when it had good detection and removal rating but now compared to the new freebies like spyware terminator and superantispyware, this thing shows its age and doesnt show it well.

This program not only updates frequently, but has extra tools that others leave out extending it beyond just an anti-spyware blaster.

Works well & it`s simple...Combine it with Ad- aware & Xoftspy & you will have a spy & ad free Pc...........Now that they have added a function called TEA TIMER it`s even better

Been using it for years. Only problem is downloading from certain sites doesn't work but just choose another site. It has found far more than Microsoft's free junk.

It's pretty good, and gets an extra star for being free, but you need more than this. I've found Spybot and XoftSpy are the best two to have.

Best part: it's freeware. Second best: I've never ran Ad-Aware/SpyAssassin after running SpyBot and it found anything. Third best: While it may take awhile to scan, that means it's going through lots and lots of different spyware that perhaps some other companies don't check for. It may also go slowly for people who have a slower computer. If you run your computer 24/7 and do not want to have to wait for the scan, you can go into administrative mode and set a scheduled time to run the scans -- set it for a time you are at work, or are usually asleep, or will not use the computer. You can also have it autoupdate at the time of the scan, and autofix the problems. It's a nifty tool, and it's free!!!

With Ad-Aware its a pretty tough solution to spy/adware. You will get a warning about running them together but I have been doing it for a while and had no problems. Spybot is the best and the PCs version of CPR.

The best only real comptetitor is ad-aware in my opinion.

great software for a while, but recently has become infrequently updated. don't get me wrong though... I believe this to be the best of this computing neccessity.
