I actually have had some exposure to Scions lately thanks to the rather absent RIA reviewer Mad Hatter and I would buy one.

I have a Scion TC! This car is really fun to drive. Quick, handles great, and has alot of features that you wouldn't think would come standard. The split sun/moon roof is pretty cool. The back seats recline. Great sound system. I took it down Bartlett Dam Rd., north of Scottsdale. It's a hilly, curvy road. The car took those turns with no problem. I really like this car. It is definetly a good buy too! $16,400. Very nice!

It's a decent value, but that's about it. Everything else on it screams 'boring'. Marketed to and geared for pimply 17 year olds.

In the styling category I would give this car 5 stars but because this is a sports car comparison, I only feel comfortable giving it 3 stars, mainly because its not very fast. It looks great though, which is why I like it, but until a bigger aftermarket following develops for it, I will continue to ONLY like the outside of it. I am also on the fence about the fact that Toyota developed this line of cars at all. The reasoning behind it was to appeal to younger people based on the thinking that the Toyota nameplate had reached the status of boring with teenagers and young adults. This could be true to some people, but I am sure that the Toyota Supra was NEVER boring, and so far they have not brought that back. But they do have a good idea with the factory customization that is going on with the Scion line, so, like I said, I am on the fence over this issue. But for now, I will give it 3 stars.
