The Code of Conduct for the Secret Service has not changed in the least since Clinton was President. Their responsibility is to protect the president's life, whether democrat or republican, sacrificing their own if necessary. To disparage this fine and accomplished organization, charged with one of the most difficult jobs on the planet, and with an excellent track record for many years, is inane and distracting. Spew all the hatred for President Bush that you can but I don't think the corruption you have imagined up extends as far as the Secret Service.

I think this only happens at events where he will be speaking. They just don't want him to be confronted with anyone exercising their rights to free speech or signage. Yes...I am now convinced that the whole Dan Rather report on his service documents were true. I guess Dan rather later reported that the authenticity was questionable because the info. giver took back his statement on it. ***I personally think that someone, sent by Bush, talked to the info. giver and scared him into taking back the negative statements that he told reporters in regards to Bush's record in the service***
