A strong call and warning, God explains how we should proceed in our lives, from the individual all the way to the nation:

"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Many pastors initiate their ministry using this powerful verse, many Presidents initiate their terms using this verse. Only humility, prayer and a continuous search for the guidance, protection and provision of God will heal the maladies of our lives and our society. An act of genuine repentance from our wicked ways will find a loving God's favor and His forgiveness, which will surely bring healing. The Bible has numerable accounts of how wonderfully and faithfully this simple principle works.

This is a wonderful Bible verse. It is almost like God saying, 'If you start talking to me again and realise that you need and love me, and start to love Me again, I will forgive you and heal you.' That is very personal and touching. Seeking the Face of God is a wonderful thing to do, so it was not like God was telling them to do something really hard. He was telling them to do something that they would enjoy because it is enjoyable being with God.

My favorite verse in the Bible. It's really showed me a lot about God's love and how much he cares about us. I love it, and I think that it's very influential. It says If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. I think it's just an awesome verse. Have a good day. God bless.
