Good film with Bogart giving one his very best performances in a very atypical role. The supporting cast is very good also, particularly Jose Ferrar. Good portrayal of military justice.

One of Humphrey Bogart's best performance.

One of my handful of favorites;particularly the performances by Jose Ferrar as Barney Greenwald-and probably my second favorite Bogart movie to 'Casablanca'(A Few Good Men,by comparison,I think is sorta forgettable).

Its a good film but mostly because of fine performances by Bogart and Ferrer. Some of the others are either uninspired or indifferent.

A good script from a rather bad book. One case where the film is definately superior to the book.

Bogart's best performance and perhaps one of the 10 best movies ever made.

The typhoon scene is still gripping after all these years and quantum leaps in special effects technology. Bogart plays his usual role, but the rest of the cast clicks.

Bogie does a fabulous job here as the sad and mentally affected Captain of the USS Caine. Great supporting cast as well with Mel Ferrer, Fred McMurray and Van Johnson.

The movie was stellar. Agree with the other respondent, it was Humphrey Bogart's best of many great portrayals. He perfectly conveyed the paranoia, obsessive compulsive behavior, and veiled cowardice of LCDR Phillip Queeg. Incredible casting with Van Johnson (later became the Green Hornet), Fred McMurry (playing a heel), and Jose Ferrer. The book (written by Herman Wouk) is even better. No story captures the responsibility and accountability of a military officer at war better than Caine Mutiny. Read the book, rent the video.

One great film. My favorite Borgart performance. If you like Bogie, you'll love this film!
