There is a weird little corner of my mind that is interested, but lets face it, Stalingrad is possibly the ugliest piece of combat that the world has ever seen. Snipers all over the place, brutal house to house, room to room, basement to basement fighting, gunfights in the sewers, and prisoners? Nobody was taking them until the thing was settled, and a good number of those prisoners never made it home. Hundreds of thousands of people were killed in a span of a couple months, and the casualties from Stalingrad exceeded U.S. casualties for the entire war. It was hell on earth, and I'd assume not take a peek.

Witness this? Hell, I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere near the place. Neither would anyone else possessed of a moiety of their marbles.

Statistics show close to 2 million people died during this battle, the most deadly of any in history.

I've played the game Call of Duty -- I kind of have a feel for what it was like: loud, scary, and bloody. It would be interesting, however, to watch the Russian troops retake Red Square. . .from a safe vantage-point, of course!
