I never saw a movie with Irene Dunn that I didn't like. She had wonderful range and played in every kind of film imaginable. Penny Serenade, I Remember Mama, I could go on and on. I'd love to own some of her movies-I never get tired of seeing her films.

Irene is so very tallented, too bad she wasn't in anything as she got older. She was a beautiful lady, I wonder what she looks like now.

At first I thought I did not see much of Irene Dunn and then I started going over the movie guide. I really liked her in Penny Serenade,as the woman looking back on her last decade with Cary Grants character and adopting a child. A real tearjerker of a movie. She was also good in I remember mama, and My Favorite Wife. She could handle both comedy and drama.

Irene Dunne was one of the most versatile actresses of "Hollywood's Golden Era." She did it all; cronicle drama (Cimarron), musical comedy (Show Boat, Roberta), soap opera (Back Street, Magnificent Obsession), screwball comedy (The Awful Truth, My Favorite Wife), romance (Love Affair), tearjerker (Penny Serenade) and period drama (Anna and the King of Siam, I Remember Mama). She recieved 5 best actress Oscar nominations along the way, and left the screen while still in demand. A class act, all the way.
