05/30/2007 | I happened to watch Myrna Loy on the Classic Movie Channel as Nora Charles. She and her husband Nick and the terrier Asta solve crimes. To me, she is very sophisticated and sometimes naive; she smokes cigarettes out of a holder drinks martinis all day (sophisticated for those times) then wonders the next morning why she has an awful headache(the naive part of her) She's a real lady but keeps up with the guys.

01/26/2005 | She is quite simply one of the greatest actresses of all. Bad oversight by the Academy that they never nominated her. From The Thin Man series, The Rains Came, and other work like Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House, it's easy to see why she was crowned Queen Of The Movies

06/04/2003 | Mryna Loy was the zany wife Nora of Nick Charles in the series "The Thin Man". She was also a great foil for William Powell in a few other movies.
She was very exotic looking and with the last name Loy they thought she was Asian. She was cast in a few movies in a semi_Asian part.
