I wouldn't go far to say "low class", but it definitely annoys me as it's just unnecessary. It shows nothing but inconsideration for people around you partiicularly when they're on their way home on the train or bus from a long day at work or in a restaurant. People who usually do this are seeking attention so when they do it I completely ignore them. The more you look at them the more they feel some self-congratulationary feeling of importance.

I think when a person is using their cell phone out in public that they ought to talk in a normal tone. It almost looks like somebody is trying to show off. I don't know about anybody else, but I don't care to listen to other people's cell phone conversations. As for myself, I always try to use it out of earshot of other people, and if it can't be helped, I try to keep my voice at a moderate level.

Listen up all you loud cell phone talkers: Us normal people who step out to have our private conversations DO NOT CARE about yours. As hard as this may be for some of you to hear, we don't care that your best friend's brother just came out of the closet. Not only do we not care, we don't even remotely want to hear about it. Step out for your private conversations.

When I cross paths with these obnoxious types in a grocery store or mall I'd like to toss them in a shopping cart and shove it out the door and into the parking lot. Most of them are so zoned they probably wouldn't notice until they hit the street.

As someone who does this frequently (but not on purpose- I just tend to go overboard) I will concede that this is very inappropriate. I have tried to curb the habit and am avoiding using a cellphone in places where I think it will make others uncomfortable. Thankfully, I don't think I ever was as bad as others who do this but it is rude and disrespectful. I hope they have meetings for people like me...lol.

I think people who do this are trying to impress others that they are important.I've also heard people talking tough on their cellphones and thought-if that person was actually HERE,they'd shut your fool mouth!

this can be annoying. I have seen this in restaurants. they give this I am so important I can not be away from the phone impression. It does not impress me one bit. We usually roll our eyes. Big Deal they have a phone.who cares.

These fools seem to think that the louder they talk the better the person on the other end can hear them!

This isn't the worst thing, but it is still something I hate. I hate it because (this has happened to me), behind me I heard a girl say in a nice voice, 'Hello' so I turned around and said hello, only to discover she was talking on her cell phone! We don't care what they have to say plus it is distracting. I don't care so much on normal conversations but there was one time I really hated it with a passion. I was on the bus and I heard a woman having fight with her husband on the phone. I heard her swearing and yelling on the phone. As if I want to know her problems. Talking loud on the cell phone is one thing, but it takes it to an all time low when people actually fight on the phone in public around children.

This never bothered me much until two things happened. One, I was in the bathroom at Barnes & Noble and some woman answered her ringing cellphone in the next stall over and proceeded to chat while sitting on the toilet. And two, when I was at a ballgame and a guy was shouting into his cellphone during the Star Spangled Banner. Now THAT showed a lack of class!

This is terrible. I generally don't like cell phones anyway, they're intrusive and so unneccessary. When I catch the bus people on their cell phones really annoy me. Some of them talk so loud and are yelling or laughing loudly. It's pitiful really because usually if you listen in, they're not talking about anything important. Cell phones are little gadget ego boosters in my opinion because the one time I owned one, I pulled it out just to show off in front of other people. Sad!! LOL

Now this is one I have noticed on a regualr basis. It amazes how loud people talk on their cell phones and where. To some, it doesn't matter. They will talk loudly on their phone anywhere. Even more amazing are the people around them who feel it is important to be quiet while they talk on the phone.

Someone needs to write a book on cell phone etiquette.

This is so annoying, why do somepeople have to talk so loud on their cellphone. No body cares about their business and I'm not impressed at all that they have a cell phone.
