Not polite at all and truly shows a lack of mutual respect for the other people in the line.

I have seen this get the most milder person mad. It is annoying when someone does not think they should have to wait in line like everyone else. It is not the worst of lacking class but it can sure tick off others.I would be tempted to say something.but nowadays it could be dangerous. i would rather not take the chance of being met in the parking lot. or confronted by a hothead. Just about a month ago they showed some news of a large man pounding the hell out of another man when the guy made a comment at a McDonalds when someone the big guy was with took cuts.

Might as well wear a T-shirt that says, Me, me, and only me! You're really supposed to get over this kind of behavior around the age of 10 or 11. Like BBoop below - I'll say something - only, it won't be so nice.

Not the worst offence, plus I don't really mind because I hold to the teaching 'to turn the other cheek.' It does become a problem if I am in a hurry or for other people. That is how some arguments break out - because someone pushed in. It shows that they are selfish and impatient and act before they think.

UPDATED: Rude! Selfish! I don't see this happen very much anymore, maybe people realize more today that their time is no more valuable than the other persons.

I went to Italy a couple of years ago and soon realized that there is no such thing as a line there. Their culture has no concept of using a line at all. They just mob up to where every they're trying to get to.

My ONE true public pet peeve. I will say something. Nicely, but it will be said.

If I were king, this would be a capital offense. . .public execution would be the order of the day.
