So if we were to follow this logic, John Kerry wouldn't have been able to criticize Bush even at this point? Well we might as well get rid of elections. Politics is rough, we can't sacrifice our institutions and freedom for unity's sake. The true patriot speaks out when the leadership is wrong. Now I'm not John Kerry's biggest supporter, indeed I've decided to support a third party this election since neither candidate has what it takes for the top job, but it's a little facetious for Bush to be calling Kerry a flip flopper. After all, Bush has made some pretty big flip flops himself, way more than Kerry. Here's a rudimentary listing of his flip flops: homeland security, environmental regulations governing emissions, gay marriage, free trade, health care reform, social security reform, interventionism in our foreign policy, our justification for invading Iraq, a sovereign nation, and the 9/11 commission. These are big issues folks. Most politicians are strategic in what positions that they take, but it's pretty laughable that Bush has been able to triangulate Kerry into being a flip-flopper. It doesn't help that Kerry isn't concise in his speeches, so he gives out the impression that he's all over the place. One thing Bush isn't is a steady leader...
