 | doobiesNhof (21) 03/24/2006 | Cheney and Rumsfeld called the shots on going into Iraq IMO. The idiot Bush bought into their story and then 9/11 sealed the deal. Went into Iraq with no strategies to get the job done and get out. Our troups are mired in a civil war with no escape.

 | CanadaSucks (45) 05/18/2005 | This pig will never get my kid for his bullsh#t rich-man's war. Had enough or haven't we sent enough poor kids to (1) look for weapons that don't exist (2) look for terrorists that are really in other countries that Dubya won't touch - such as Saudi Arabia? Oh, I forgot another gem - (3) Haliburton stock should do very well. Oh, I forgot. . .we want to free the people of Iraq. . .by killing thousands of civilians. . .why, the entire middle east is just ready and jumping for joy to recieve democracy! All the yellow-ribbon-car-magnets won't make the lies go away.

 | louiethe20th (73) 07/07/2004 | Let me chime in here. Part of the U.N. Resoultion stated that if Hussein failed to comply with weapons inspections force could be used. The arrogance with which he openly defied the U.N. inspection teams and his care-free attitude forced our hand.
This war was not for oil!!! This war was not because we thought Hussein was tied in with Bin Ladin! This war was not only to find WMD's! This war was in retaliation for Hussein breaking the resoultuion and for his threat in the future.

 | StanUzbeck (14) 06/18/2004 | Ok, I am willing to indulge Bush's little flip-flops, because I truly believe that Dubya doesn't remember from one moment to the next what he just said (a trait he shares with psychopaths), but saying in 2000 that he wasn't going to use force against Iraq was a flatout lie. There is abundant testimony that the Bushies were aching to attack Saddam since day one, and were merely searching for a pretext. 9/11 wasn't the work of the Iraqis, but Bush figured it was close enough, and no one would know the difference besides. Nope, the invasion of Iraq was on the books from the beginning.
