And we're rapidly losing what support we have.

Are you kidding me? 85% of the troops in Iraq are American. We are paying all of the cost of this war. Compare that with the Persian Gulf War, where we really DID have the support of 90+ countries that stood by our side and paid over 90% of the financial cost of the war. If we have the support of so many countries, and SO many countries are supporting us and fighting alongside our troops, how come our troops are being forced to serve double tours of duty and our military is stretched so incredibly thin that we would not be able to respond adequately to another terrorist attack on American soil? Seems to me, BIGBABY, that if we had such broad international assistance, we would not be stretched so thin and morale in our military would not be so incredibly low. When I saw almost unilaterally, please don't view that as my saying that we did it alone. We had assistance from Britain and Spain (although Spain has since gotten out of there), and a select number of troops from other countries, but 85% of the troops there are American and 100% of the money being spent there is American. We may have had the SUPPORT of 90+ countries, but support and action are two different things. List those 90+ countries for me, and tell me exactly how many troops they have there. Then, we can debate about what the true meaning of the word unilateralism is. Building a multilateral coalition is more than just winning lipservice and halfass support from a bunch of countries. It is getting those countries to share in the sacrifice that our brave soldiers are now making. UPDATE: Still waiting for that list of those 90+ countries that supported us and actually fought with us on the ground in Iraq.

We had the support over 90+ countries! How in the world is that unilaterally? The media only thinks we invaded by ourselves, so that's who you think we did. We didn't and don't need the help of other countries anyway, especially when thier the ones who had connections to Iraq. The point is that Clinton did nothing to stop Iraq. Bush was warned by Putin that Saddam was trying to attack US interests after 9-11 happened. Iraq was a threat to us.
