I like them in a salad, but sometimes they can turn out to be a little bitter.

I cannot stand the taste of cucumber. It makes me squirm and shudder. To me its a very strong taste. If I remove it from a sandwich or sald, I can still taste the traces of it. Also watermelon and gerkin have the same taste and repellent effect. I'm not allergic to it, just tastes and smells revolting to me. Not refreshing, not mild, but strongly repulsive.

Very refreshing. Not a whole lot of taste, but adds crunch to salads. They are really good after having been marinated in italian dressing in the fridge for a couple hours.

One of my favorite snacks, I eat these things year-round, it's so crunchy and juicy. Hard to get that certain times of the year, but a cucumber always tastes good.p.s to the freak, actually a cucumber has a lot of good nutritional value, such as potassium, vitamin c,calcium, and more

Probably my favorite salad veggie, after lettuce and tomato. But good by it self with salt and pepper.

. . . isn't a cucumber technically a fruit? With the seeds and all? Anyway, I love the lightness and crispness of thin-sliced cucumber. Great on salads.

i like cucumbers as a snack with salt, and occasionally in my salad, but thats about it. I hate cucumber salad, and sandwhiches.

The thrid best vegetable (after turnip and olive)! I can eat an entire raw cucmbe in about five minutes, I KNOW it doesn't have much nutritional value, but the taste is GOOD, so I don't care if it has one or one thousand and one calories. Cucumbers are great, but please, if you're eating one for the first time, eat it PLAIN. Not a good veggie to experiment with. Take care, everyone!

I love cucumbers with cheese and mayo on wheat bread with a tall glass of milk on the side.
