I was kinda hoping somebody like Jerry Garcia would spike Jack Webb's coffee with acid during some episode...sanctimonious, clumsy, square over the top, claptrap for people who thought everyone should have a crew cut and listen to Ray Conniff...

The Grandaddy of all cop shows! Maybe played a little too straight Just the facts Ma'am but still a great cop show. Joe Friday was a cops cop.
