i loved this show carrol o'connor was excellent as chief gillespie and i loved bubba. it was a show that dealt with racial problems in the south as well as being a crime show

This was a complete turn around for Carroll O'Conner after doing Archie Bunker for so long. He did a great job and it was a great show.

Even though there was an awful lot of action for such a small town, I loved this show.
