Has one of those O. Henry endings that Serling just couldn't seem to resist, but it works well here. Pretty silly plot, but Lloyd Bochner treats it all with the utmost seriousness and solemnity, and Richard Kiel as the towering alien(s) is still unsettling and unnerving. May not be "The Twilight Zone's" best episode (it isn't), but it remains one of its more entertaining and memorable ones.

GREAT twist ending--better be ready for it if you watch it for the first time!!

How can you not love a TZ episode that has the voice of Mike Wallace?

Classic. One of the first episodes I saw, and it helped get me hooked to the series. I hope the beginning sequence with Mr. Chambers on the plane didn't give it away to some viewers, though. Seemed like it would be a little bit of a tip-offf

Might have been in a non-Twilight Zone frame of mind when watching this one, but I thought the surprise ending was actually very humorous. Don't get me wrong, thought this was a very good episode, but couln't help thinking that this is something Woody Allen would write.

When I first saw this one, I have to say I was suprised by the ending. Its the perfect twist. No happy ending here for our hero who found out too late. A cautionary tale about being too welcoming to strangers.

A race of aliens known as the Kanamits lands on Earth and promises to be helpful to the cause of humanity. They have a book, "To Serve Man." The aliens eradicate hunger, eliminate war, and obliterate expensive power sources. All is not well, however, when a decoder discovers the Kanamits' true intentions. Their book, "To Serve Man," is actually a cookbook!

One of the more famous episodes. I've never cared much for it, and find the internal logic a little specious. The acting is competent, but not exactly riveting and the script, while not pedestrian, doesn't sing.
