One of the great Zone episodes that is a biting criticism of modern America- give them a bogeyman, flick their light switches a little, and people will turn on each other like wolves in a cage fighting over a steak. Most people fold like a house of cards and gravitate to the popular opinion when seriously challenged. . .scary, indeed. . .

This story was appropriate for the times when it was seen on tv in the early 60s. The Cold War, the fear of Communism, made it quite easy to see how so called normal people turned on each other. The real aliens just had to sit back and wait for the dust to clear.

Another classic episode from the debut season. I imagine a lot of people did a reality check after watching this one.

This story was a great non fictional story. It was great to see the movie and also read the book. There wernt very many differences, other than the fact theat Ned's name changed. I liked this story because i could really feel the tension rising and the anger level rising.

This is consistenly rated high by reviewers of Twilight Zone, but I've never liked it. Everyone in this town is uptight and nobody trusts or likes each other. There's no one you can identify with or feel sympathy for. Even the suspense seems to fail, at least for me. I'm glad for the experts who like it so well, but I just consider it rather tiresome.

A little tale based upon the frailties and smallness of the human mind. Not so much about space aliens. Again, you just don't get this type of thoughtful little story on modern television.

It seems kind of silly if you think about it but It could be really scary! But I guess that sence today nobody (including self) is fully capable of doing evereything withg out electricty.

What happens when unusual things start to happen in a regular neighborhood what seems to be meteors going in the sky sets off some very weird events in a neighborhood.A teenager who is into sci-fi. suggests that it is aliens taking over the neighborhood. they laugh it off at first then odd things start to happen, one neighbors car starts and stops on it;s own. lights turn on and off. and here begins the suspiscion, why are you always looking at the stars?why DID your car start on it?why are your lights turning on and off? a once peaceful neighborhood has turned on one another. at then end we see there are aliens above in the sky and they are controlling what is going on in the neighborhood. one boasts that see how easy it is, all you do is turn lights on off manipulate other things, and the people will do all the rest to turn on one another. How sad for me to know this really does happen in real life, and it does not take aliens to do it. All is needed is a little, seed planting gossip sit back and see how quickly and willing the neighbors will turn on one another.

The first episode of the show I ever saw, and it left a tremendous impression on me. The real star of the show is the mob, and the paranoid interplays between its members. A script that is redolent of the xenophobia that was an active remnant of the McCarthy era, and tight, pointed direction make it one of the great episodes.

Great episode about the effects of fear on the average person.
