Unexpected ending. A good reminder that we should all occasinally take time out to smell the roses. Another classic from the first season.

Another good story centering on an adult's longing to go back to a simpler time and place from his past...

This is one of the better episodes. A harassed advertising executive who has grown exasperated with the stress of the business life and constantly dreams of a peaceful place called Willoughby during his commute by train. After he finally snaps at his workplace, he exits the train while in his dream so he can live in Willoughby. In reality, he jumped off the train to his death. His body is eventually loaded into a hearse owned by "Willoughby & Son Funeral Home". We can only hope, however, that he was able to stay in the Willoughby of his dreams.

I remember thinking after watching this one that this man's demise, which involved falling off a train, was a pleasant experience for him because he was enwrapped in his fantasy of small-town blissful middle-America.

Funny because he was riding the Metro North train to and from NYC.

Sort of a companion piece to Walking Distance. Very strong, and one of the best of the series.

Outstanding. When dude's boss keeps haranguing him about You gotta PUSH, PUSH, PUSH!!! you knew dude needed to get off that train. The climax and subsequent irony wrap up a well-told story.

This is one of my favorites, not only because of the time travel element, but because the man desperately needs to get away from his money-grubbing harridan of a wife, as well as the intense pressures of work, and the lousy northern weather. When he enters Willoughby, we all wish we could go with him.
