"The Hunt" 1

Another clunker by Earl Hamner, Jr. Apparently, we are supposed to believe this guy is going to turn down Heaven because his dog isn't allowed. Also, he can fish in Heaven, which might be Heaven for him, but not for the fishes. This + other things equally absurd = dud.

"The Hunt" 3

not one of the best of episodes. an elderly man goes on a hunt with his trusty dog Rip. they disappear in a pond. he "returns home" only to find out no one can see or hear him or the dog. he learns that he must have died and the dog too. when he gets to what he believes is heaven he is told he cannot go in if he brings his much loved dog. he refuses and goes on. to another place that looks like the earth he lived on. with ponds and woods. he asks if he can bring his dog and they say of course. he then finds out the other place was hell and was being tested. and this place is Heaven. okay plot i like his devotion to his dog. but otherwise okay.

"The Hunt" 1

Ugh. One of the worst episodes, possibly the worst. A facile and naive story, limply directed and pedestrianly acted. The wardrobes come from Hollywood Hillbilly Get Up's 'R' Us, to put a final nail in the coffin.
