One of the "Twilight Zone" hour-long episodes that I never saw until recently. Robert Duvall, as always, is spot-on in his portrayal of the lonely, awkward man who falls in love with a fantasy. My only problem with the episode was that the story would have been better served in the half-hour format. In the one-hour format, there are too many portions of it that drag, and prove repetitious. An interesting oddity overall, but not one I'll be running back to watch again any time soon.

Very well done love story with Robert Duvall in an excellent, standout performance(which, given how many great performances there were on TZ, is really saying something). Irishgit is correct, this is a rare episode in that there was a lawsuit about this episode. Somebody claimed it ripped off a story about mannequins coming to life (called the Thirteenth Mannequin), but the After Hours was even closer to the Thirteensh Mannequin, and it came out first, so the lawsuit is dismissed. Still, this is one of about half a dozen or so episodes that didn't make it to syndication (at least not originally). Worth having in your collection if you can get it.

A fragile and peculiar love story that is rarely seen. I believe it was the subject of a law-suit over rights shortly after production. Robert Duvall is very good in an intriguing role, and the script is clever and well crafted.
