A taleneted yet troubled rider. He really does not have that much as results goes. However he was the last rider to complete the Giro/Tour double and one of only a handful to have 3 Major tour jerseys in one year. One can hardly consider him dominating the Giro with one total win by 1'33" (there were several stages where more than that changed between the top riders that year).

My personal favourite because of his attacking style and grace but not the best that has to be the cannibal.

Il Pirata - The Pirate. Gave Armstrong tremendous battles. Nobody dominated the Giro d'Italia like the bald headed gremlin.
