Ease of navigation 4

I have no problems with getting around the site. Like Twansalem said, it's new and takes a little getting used to.

One thing I was looking forward to has to do with the access to all Recent Reviews. In the previous format, it required a click to turning the page. V3 seems the same, except it's a "vertical move", instead of a "page turn". What I think would be a nice touch has already been done on the older version: when you went to a User's Page and clicked on (I believe) Read All Reviews. At that point, you'd have the option of seeing 25, 50, 100, or All Reviews on the same page. With a click of the wheel on my mouse, I could scroll through the reviews, hands free. Think this would be a nice touch...

PS: Glory beeeeee...none of the punctuation marks were dropped. Appreciate that!

I bought a new computer for Christmas and had to aclimate myself to Windows Vista. I'm sure there are more features and more powerful, efficient and secure processing capabilities behind it all. But to me it seems like they just moved stuff around and made it a little more visual, oriented to people who really don't want to know what their computer is doing, but are awed by the ability to click buttons. Good for them.

I was fine with Windows a decade and a half ago. All of the changes they have made since seem like just another reason to launch and sell new versions. I do however realize that there are people out there craving that newness, that upgrade, boost, flash, zip, drive, blah, blah, blah. I guess I'm officially old, I couldn't care less.

Well anyway, I got used to Vista and then had to figure out Windows Mail, instead of Outlook. It was deja vu all over again. Needed to help my daughter with a school assignment and used Excel. Again. Word. Again. Then my daughter convinced me to set up a Facebook account.

Well that's why I missed the launch of the new version (and all of the foolishness of the Hall of Fame list) this weekend.

The doctors say that they should be able to reassemble the pieces of my skull in more or less the same shape as before and I'll be back to my old self by the time the bandages come off. I think I'll have to paint my office because the splatter marks from my head exploding won't wash off without leaving any stains.

But I will peresevere and figure out how to quickly navigate my way to the Recent Reviews section and I will continue to post. On that, my friends, you can rely.

Ease of navigation 3

Well, as it seems that V3 has arrived, I have to say that as of right now, site navigation seems a little more difficult, although a good portion of that is probably just me getting used to the way things work. The feed does make it easier to see what's going on right now, but I miss the featured weblists and most active weblist features that were a part of the old homepage. (Do those still exist and I just haven't found them yet?) I also miss some other features that made the old version easier to navigate where you wanted to go. One of the big ones for me is a feature that existed on the old recent reviews page as well as the page which showed all of a member's reviews. This was the simple indication at the bottom of that page which said something like 20-30 of 9812 reviews. Also the Hall of Fame has a lot of new ways of indicating top reviewers, which is nice, but it still seems a little buggy. So while I expect things to get better due to me just getting used to things as well as small tweaks made by the site developers, I can't currently give this more than three stars.

There's nothing hard at all about navigating RateItAll. All you have to do is point, click, and you're there.

I may suggest that if there are multiple pages that it can be set up to go to a certain page of any given reviewer's comments, not just previous or next. I've seen this feature on other message boards, and it does seem to be less time consuming. I, myself, have at least fifty pages of my own comments; I have to go through each one of them to get to, say, the forty-ninth page. Other than that, navigation is quite simple.

The navigation of this site is excellent. For starters- for personal convience, there is a search engine at the very top of the page so you can enter a topic and be directed towards anything about that topic. Each item is also seperated into special sections so it is easy to browse a wide variety of things.

the navagation of this site is SUPERB! It is easy to get to anywhere on the site and if you don't see it listed you can always search for it so you don't have to wade throug pages-and-pages to find your desired item. I also like the site's interface and It is not overcrowded and it is not that gawdy and it don't take forever to load like most ratings sites. I love this site!

Seems to me that any list you want to get to is no more than 2 clicks away (assuming, of course, you use the gray lateral navigation bar at the top of every page). I think the layout of this site is pretty straight-forward.

Great! The home page gives you an overview of the entire site and each of the pages gives you a thorough listing of things to rate. I also like the breadcrumb at the top that lets me know where I came from.
