A solid runner, but far from the best in the NFL. He also seems to be a poor leader, despite being competitive. It doesn't hurt that's he's on a good team now, but let's not forget that he basically lost his starting job to Rudi Johnson before splitting from CIN. Rudi Johnson is the better back in my opinion in between the two, but Corey Dillon is still far from someone to be ignored.

finally is on a good team. the reason for all his trouble in CIN. was because he was pissed off about losing, and now that he is winning games. There are no problems, just a true competor thats wants to win
bengals06 04/13/2005
He's finally able to show what he can really do on the field. I admit, the Bengals just couldn't get it done with him. But with a franchise team like the Patriots, he shows what good training, amazing team and teammates, and excellent skills can do for you.

good back, coming off an injury so weather or not he will come back to Pro Bowl form is questionable.
BeatlesfanStev eo 08/11/2004
Thank god hes on the patriots now.
louiethe20th 06/10/2004
Gifted player, but I question his attitude and desire.

Corey Dillon is an absolute beast. He had no one on his offensive line in Cincinnati and still put up amazing numbers. Just imagine what he will accomplish under the Patriots strong line.
roblinb 04/05/2004
That Magellan guy said that nobody knows who Corey Dillon is??? Yeah, if you don't follow the NFL maybe. Dillon is not what he once was, and now that he's made an ass out of himself on t.v. by showing what a classless act he has been all along, he has virtually made himself worthless as far as a good trade that would be beneficial for both the team and his family. Now the Bungles will be lucky to get a 5th-round draft pick for this sarcastic bastard.
widgeon 11/17/2003
good back horrible timing to act up when marvin has this team believing say hello to rudy and a new address for dillion, which could be good for both
CanadaSucks 08/18/2003
How in the hell did Dillon rack up those rushing numbers running behind the Bengals' Offensive Line? This guy might be one of the most underrated players of this generation.
hrd2h8 06/18/2003
Give the guy credit for wanting to stick it out with the Bengals...or was that a career-killing move? Well, they had a good draft, but they are still the Bengals.

Wow, i never expected to see a player from the worst team in the league in FOURTH! but he deserves to be there!
zuchinibut 12/10/2002
Great player stuck on a bad team. On a playoff team, he would be an MVP candidate.

Another shining example of why the Bengals franchise is the most laughable in the NFL. OK, let's see how we can completely piss off our best player and then when he becomes a free agent next year, he will absolutely not sign. Dillon is one of a handful of backs to run for over 1,000 yards in his first three years in the league and has proved this year that those numbers weren't inflated or a fluke. He can run between the tackles and outside and can catch the ball out of the backfield. And, next year, he will be someone else's franchise back.

If anybody deserves to play for a contender, it's Corey Dillon. He is definitely the best back that nobody has ever heard of, holding the record for most rushing yards as a rookie, and most rushing yards in a single game. Also, every time I have seen him interviewed, he comes across as humble, unassuming, and team focused. I'm sure there are 20 franchises who are drooling about his impending free agency...
