(Oops, thought this was for commercials during previews for a moment) The hype behind some movies leads to a lot of disappointment, even if you try to avoid it. They'll show previews for movies for SEVERAL months before the movie even comes out, and I think it's being shown earlier and earlier now (I could have sworn that Dark Water had already been in theaters and left, since I saw the previews so long ago and then they've disappeared for a while. I didn't think that it just now recently opened!) For a while, every other commercial on TV seemed to advertise M&Ms and Star Wars, or Mountain Dew and Star Wars, or Some Fast Food Joint and Star Wars. If there's going to be hype, moviemakers had better live up to it. Such disappointments are probably a big reason why the box office has seen such a long slump lately. Want ticket sales to go up? Make better movies!

I hate this! I pay money to watch the actual movie- not car commercials. You just can't get away from obnoxious advertising these days.
