I do find it interesting that a film can be a complete bloodbath without the ratings board batting an eye, but god forbid there's too much skin.

Not that I have any problem with bloodbaths :D

I'm not sure how to rate anything on this list. Clearly R movies as a group are neither better nor worse than any other classification as a group. There are some brilliant R movies, and the same can be said for every classification (with the possible exception of X) Likewise, there are lots of pieces of shit in every classification.

If one is supposed to rate how classifications are done, or the ages involved, that seems more than a little tough to do.

My fav R rated Movie story.I worked at a Theatre when R rated,Warlock w/Julian Sands came out.A couple came with their 2 kids. They were maybe 10 & 11.The movie had 10 mins. until it ended & out they came. The Father insisted on getting a refund because the Movie was unsuitable for His kids!?!?!?!? I never had a problem giving out passes to another show when people walked out of a bad Movie. But no way! Not at the end & not when You bring Your children to an R rated movie named Warlock!!!!

Classic tv fan is barely old enough to watch an R rated movie so why should anyone take his opinion seriously. Just look at this guy's opinions. Can you say LOSER.

I still haven't found an R-rated movie truly worth my time. They are either filled to the brim with headache-inducing bad language, gory and nauseating violence or tons of sexual content. Also, most R-rated movies lack optimism and are based in ever-so-dull reality.

The only problem I have is when parents take their kids to see R Rated movies with them (for an examlpe when I went to see Kill Bill Vol. 2).
