I like Noe. It's a little tame, but still a nice sunny place to live that's close to the highway.

Not what it was. My grandmother used to live on the corner of Noe and 24th upstairs from a grocery store that has been several different restaraunts since. The neighborhood had character for awhile. I used to enjoy the Rat & Raven bar. Twin Peaks protects the neighborhood from the fog, so it can be sunny there while most of the rest of the city is fogged in. A few of the older restaraunts have survived.

Subarban piece of SF but close enough to the edgy bars, thaters and night life of the Mission. I feel safe walking around at night!

It is good if you want a quiet suburban feel while living in the City. It is removed from a lot of what the City has to offer. The plusses are that it is close to the 280 freeway (needed if you work in the South Bay) and the Castro is close enough when you need some excitement.

This used to be a GREAT neighborhood but the 80s and 90s really did it in. Compared to most of the city it's food and bars suck. It's hard as hell to park because locals like to park there sporty little cars in the middle of two spaces. There are still some good shops worth the trip, like the computer place on Church and the book stores on 24th. Otherwise drive thru and have a good time in the mission.

Noe Valley is a great little neighborhood. One of dozens of little tucked away neighborhoods in San Francisco. 24th Street has good shopping. It's not as upscale as The Marina, but it's a nice little middle class area. It's best asset is the weather in Noe Valley.....one of the warmest spots in The City.

Kind of antisceptic but a good balance between Pac Heights stuffy and Mission ghetto.
