 | MissPackRat4Jesus (38) 03/14/2007 | The game of politics itself is a dirty game... but politicians are
human, too. They all make their mistakes, no matter what party
they're from. I do have some that I prefer, but I just choose to
keep these sort of things to myself.

 | GenghisTheHun (168) 06/26/2006 | I guess it has to be Dwight David Eisenhower, the greatest President since Teddy Roosevelt.

 | LetsGoRedskins2006 (4) 06/26/2006 | Admire? I'd admire a spoiled rotten athlete anyday of the week before I admire a greasy politician.

 | zuchinibut (36) 01/31/2006 | I don't admire politicians at all, because there is no personal connection between them and I. I am a person who does not appreciate superficiality, but that is exactly how this profession works.

 | cutegurl (15) 05/19/2005 | If you count the Founding Fathers as politicians, yes. There are also a few politicians I admire, Orin Hatch; senator from Utah, Ronald Reagan, Winston Churchill, Tony Blair, and yes, President George W. Bush. BTW, don't rant and rave at me for admiring the man, it's just not worth it because you can't change my mind no matter what you say.

 | Enkidu (37) 03/17/2005 | Unfortunately, it is fairly rarely that I admire a politician. I wish it weren't so, especially since I think cynicism is a disease and a form of intellectual cowardice; but it does seem that the selection process itself filters out the very best people for the job. In addition, I often admire politicians more when they are no longer holding political office (as an example, Jimmy Carter, who wasn't particularly distinguished as a president).

 | Underspin (24) 03/13/2005 | To quote Fun Boy Three, The more I know, the less I believe. Unfortunately, way too many of them fit into this category for me.

 | Djahuti (54) 02/08/2005 | I have found most Politicians less than admirable.Too often,we find out the dirt long after they're out of office. This goes for both Parties. One Politician I do admire is Jimmy Carter. He has devoted so much of his energy to helping the poor AFTER leaving office:this to me is a sign of benevolence, unselfishness and true spirituality. Also,he writes some really nice poems!

 | CastleBee (81) 01/19/2005 | There are two in my state that I respect. Both impress me as being very intelligent, mild mannered guys who aren't overly impressed with themselves or their positions. They are former gov, current senator Evan Bayh and retired congressman Andy Jacobs - both Democrats BTW.

 | louiethe20th (74) 07/11/2004 | I admire Ronald Reagan very much for the morals and the courage he had.I would have liked to have known Winston Churchill as well, but I do admire what he stood for and his resolve for good to overcome evil!
