Consistenly giving accurate information within 5% of the actual value. I've gone to www.kbb.com many times and have been very happy with their system they use.

Awesome resource. I donated a car to charity and used the site to get a value for tax purposes. I can't imagine the IRS arguing with an unimpeachable source like this.

The KBB web site is a fantastic resource - an absolute must visit site for anyone buying or selling a car. The used car tool lets you plug in your car's info: make, model, year, accessories, and cranks out what you should expect to get for the car if you are trading it in, and what you should expect to get if you are selling it to another consumer. Really a great service.

They also have a new car quote service which shows you MSRP, and what consumers are actually paying for that particular car at that time.

I recently bought a car, and when the quote came in high, I asked to borrow the salesman's computer. I pulled up the KBB page that showed this "what the consumers are actually paying" figure, and knocked down the quote by $1K.
