I think, that together with Gardenhire, Sciosia is the best current manager in baseball.

tHIS GUY IS A SOLID MANAGER. HE WORKS GREAT WITH YOUNG PLAYERS. HAS A WORLD SERIES UNDER HIS BELT. ANGLS ARE COMPETITVE YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT UNDER HIM. PAYROLL IS AVERAGE AND HE GETS IT DONE.

I think Scioscia is a solid manager, and for strategy during the game, Sciosia and Gardenhire of the Twins are probably the most clever skippers in the American League. Scioscia's teams really baffle the Yankees, they have their number, and it's the only club that has had a winning record against NY in the Torre years. He handles the pitching staff really well, and his teams succeed despite the fact that Guerrero is the only real offensive star on the club.

I love Mike Scioscia! When he managed the Albuquerque Dukes Triple-A team (now the Albuquerque Isotopes), he did wonderful! Good luck to him!

There's not too managers that takes a team on the verge of extinction such as Anaheim and turns them from worst to first and go all the way to win the World Series. How classy is that? Plus, he already has a ring when he was a player for the Dodgers back in the early 80s.

I don't know here...maybe no one could get those guys to play well on a daily basis. Maybe Scioscia has nothing to do with it.

I never really liked this guy when he was a player - except when he was on an episode of the Simpson's as a ringer for Mr. Burns' softball team. I have no clue about his managerial skills.
