07/06/2004 | The DaVinci of the 18th century. Might have been one of the smartest dudes of all time. Accomplished scientist, inventor, statesman, writer and publisher, philosopher, musician, and an economist. Inventions include bifocals, the first catheter, lightning rod, Franklin stove (a home heating system), and the odometer. Once said: If you would not be forgotten , as soon as you are dead and rotten, Either write things worth reading, or do things worth the writing.
