12/23/2005 | A charismatic, colorful character not afraid to voice his opinions (as outlandish as some of them were). Certainly a lot more memorable than the cast of insipid characters that have followed him (all of whom, of course, have been as pure as the driven snow - uh huh). Rizzo is synonymous with the words "Mayor of Philadelphia".

03/07/2005 | A crooked-ass cop who helped further the legend of a corrupt police force. Sure Frank, it's easy to be tough when you have (1) a badge and (2) the power of city hall behind you. I think he was a coward.

11/04/2004 | He went from one bad ass cop (supposedly was one of the toughest, meanest policemen in Philadelphia, a city who prides itself on police brutality), to one bad ass police commissioner, to one bad ass mayor. One of the greatest quotes was Frank Rizzo giving his definition of a Conservative, A conservative is a liberal who just got mugged.
