Best value Pacific Rim long haul airline. Cabin crew generally attentive and always polite. Food OK. Planes always very clean. Check in staff efficient.

The absolute worst trip ever. JFK to Manila via Hong Kong. Ran very late, children and babies allowed to occupy the aisle(SAFETY ISSUE). DO NOT buy anything at Duty Free at JFK, it will be confiscated in Hong Kong.

On flight from Hong kong to LAX, I sat next to a young girl with a little boy who was old enough to have his own seat. He cried most of the 12 hour flight, When he was not bouncing up and down he was touching me with his sticky hands. I checked with the flight manager to see if they could either upgrade her or me, since there was room on the biz class. They asked if I wanted to pay 2000,00 for that upgrade. Would not recommend the service to any one. Cathy doesn't care how comfortable you are during a long flight, neither do they care if you fly with them again.

The flight and plane accomodations were fine. The customer service for changing a reservation is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. Their first "line" when I called to change a return flight was that it was not possible. I called a different office to find out why and "they had lost my contract". The representative said I might convince them to make a new contract for $100 and change the flight for $75. When I tried to do this, it took 3 days for them to "find" my contract and decide if they could do it. I changed my flight, they never charged me. Then when I went to change it again, there other office gave me the missing contract "line" and said it would cost $325 to fly on my confirmed date, and $425 to change it again! After I shared my story, the representative took three days so far to try to verify my information! In the meantime, the local office refused to call the main office and sent me to a payphone! Unprofessional, inconsistent, and horrifically slow for a simple flight change! I'll never deal with them again.

We flew several time with Cathay Pacific and members of Marco Polo Club. Boy were we stupid! Cathay Pacific service has gone from bad to really hopeless! Their reservation service staff has an outrageous bad attitude & their economy seats are one of the smallest out there in the airline industry. I have just cut up my Marco Polo Club Card and to hell with Cathay Pacific. Good riddance!

This is a lovely airline with wonderful service, great food, and an on time scheduale. If you want to go to Hong Kong, this is a nice airline to fly. Partners with American Airlines. The business class is to die for.

It's been awhile since I flied with Cathay. I can tell you that at those time, I had good experiences. Good service, comfortable seats. I hope it's still giving the best service.
