This is a very cute, nice neighborhood especially for artists and the young.

Overrated, but then I never really liked the club scene. Wouldn't want to live there anyway. It's in the belly of the beast.

I'm really growing to like SOMA. It's a nice contrast to the rest of San Francisco. Everything's new. There's some sick condo's and lofts that continue to pop up. SOMA's got hip new hotels, bars and restaurants, including the Metreon which is a collection of them in and of itself, and also has a movie and IMAX theatre inside. Pac Bell Park and proximity to CalTrain and the highway are extra perks.

Too new, too yuppie, too flat, and too expensive. But one of the main reasons I don't care for it is the traffic. I'm a pedestrian and walking is dangerous in the area because of all the freeways. There should be more pedestrian bridges and cheaper apartments available.
