11/08/2006 | I'm really not sure where that stupid, over-used phrase started but I think there are good arguments for people on both sides of the story to be called or to not be called PC. To me, it's just another passive aggressive power play in action. It's like people trying to heap guilt when things don't suit them. Well, outside of being intentionally cruel to someone, I say we all have a right to say what we think - and I will defend that idea regardless of political party or philisophical persuasion. Tough noogies to the wimps who can't take it.

11/08/2006 | You know I almost think it downright ignorant and pretty dumb that someone can already make up their minds about what political party their coming from way before an argument has even started. I see the same people on here over and over again standing by something their "supposed" to believe in no matter what the topic and instead of looking like a patriot they just end up looking like an idiot. Yes there are some things I myself am very conservative about, there are other topics that I'm very liberal about and there are others where I just simply don't give a damn. But for all you die hard patriots out there who've opened their mouth claiming to be who they are before the argument has even started you my friend are not clever your not a hero your just downright dumb. Have a nice day people.

11/08/2006 | Dems are great actors. They may come across as PC, but deep down, many can patronize and demean better than any political party.
I only give this 5 Stars because the perception is that the dems are PC. It should receive 1 star because of how they truly behave.

03/02/2005 | As if the left are the only ones guilty of trying to change the nature of language. The right are always trying to change words to give them positive connotations and their opposites negative connotations. Notice how they, for example, change Tax cuts to Tax relief, Welfare cuts to Welfare reform, Anti-abortion to Pro-life (though the left did match this with Pro-choice) and my personal favorite, changing Poll tax to Community charge. Both sides would like to have their version of language accepted as the norm.

02/27/2005 | In some cases political correctness is okay, but sometimes it gets to the point of being silly. The most common PC term, African-American, has problems all it's own. Number 1: Not all blacks even like the term African-American. Number 2: Not all black people descend from Africans.
