Although not as undeniably great innovative or as reliable as Nirvana, the vines carry on Cobain's legacy well with screaming vocals, loud guitar distortions, and the occasional super-catchy hooks with songs like "Ride" and "Get Free." Although unlikely to save rock and roll due to band unstableness and inconsistent material, their sound is both courageous and radio-friendly, making them a welcome addition to the popular rock scene from the over-hyped garage rock revival.
