Smart.  Literate.  Gives a better macro-or-global view on many world events.  I've heard the complaints of political bias and they do exist- BBC News is biased against stupidity in many forms.  They usually give far better coverage of international events that shame most US media outlets.

Ok, but politically.....Has the same bias as CNN, CBS etc.  Will always show favortism towards a Democrat U.S. president/candidate no matter what.

Much more factual and less sensational that American news broadcasts. It is good to get a different perspective on what is happening in the world without all the stupid flashy graphics. Still too many commercials just like US tv. I find myself listening more and more to NPR on my car radio. And no commercials! Yay!

This is exactly what the media industry needs, some more left wing liberal garbage being portrayed as news.

Huh! Why is it whenever the truth is presented, the far rightwing lot can't stand it? This is the most respected TV organisation in the World and is tuned into by people the entire planet over when they want to hear the truth about what is happening in their countries. Since the War in Iraq, American listenership to the BBC, of all political colors, has increased by 25%! - because they know it can be trusted.
