Sometimes after a night of smoking a cigar or two, you wake up the next morning with an awful after taste. It didn't happen with the Partagas.

Partagas Lusitanias are the bomb !!! A great smoke - long lasting and has a mild/strong taste. The perfect cigar for a summer afternoon. A bit pricey, but worth it. Who on earth would ever put Phillies in the same class with a real cigar ??? Mystery tobacco rolled up in a piece of brown wrapping paper - thats' a Philly.

Best cigar hands down. Whoever rated Philly blunt above Partegas don't know what they're talking about! Dark, nutty flavor with a slightly sweet aftertaste. Rich, full bodied smoke. Very pleasing, very relaxing. My personal favorite, Partegas is above macanudo and monte cristo. Expensive though....but all good cigars are.

At their high end, excellent, otherwise mediocre.

excellent "mild" cigar...i really enjoy a partagas cigar, i have smoked cuban cigars and if you close your eyes they taste the same.

Partagas has something going for it, but its a hard brand to rate because I have found them to be inconsistent even among same types. In general they are medium bodied, and the ones I have enjoyed in the past have been spicy without being bold. They seem to retain the flavor pretty well. The ones I've tried seemed to have a bit of a tight wrap, but really a good cigar for the price.
