These cigars are over priced and terribly boring. I don't know how they are the best selling brand, then again.. budwieser taste like crap, and that is a top selling brand as well. They lack flavor, complexity, and any type of body. Pretty much the only thing good about Macanudo is the construction. Especially for the price of these things, i will never buy one again, there are about 117 other smokes that are cheaper and enormously better (carlos torano, oliva, padron #2000, fuente, la aurora... i could go on for days). And for all you "get one for a special occasion" people, if you want a cigar for a special occasion, get a padron, an ashton, a davidoff, a good fuente, a diamond crown.... a GOOD cigar, that gives you your moneys worth. There is a reason that real cigar smokers don't smoke macanudo. And while we're at it, never buy a cohiba unless its from cuba.

I have found that Macanudos are a very mild cigar, which is what I look for. This one is not for you if you like robust flavor.

Macanudo Ascot Maduro - Very smooth, with some spice and cinnamon notes. Very mild at first, warms up slowly to a medium body. Good size for an everyday smoke, and not too expensive ($10.70 for 10). However, I wish it was just a bit more bold and complex.

Decent cigar, try the gold label cost about 8 bucks at my local cigar shop, worth it on special occasions.

I've had a few of the ones on this list and Macanudos always provide a good smoke and a pleasant experience. Even the wife takes a few puffs. . .

Hyde park cafe is one of the best cigars out there. Pretty much all of their cafe cigars are good, but avoid their darker cigars. A hoy de montery would be a better choice if you are looking for something full flavored.

I'm a novice cigar smoker i smoke them on special occasions...the Macanodo is a pleasant cigar especially for a novice its not overpowering....i have tried Philly's and there nasty i rather smoke a dryed piece of dog$hit...but philly's r great for blunts lol

Middle of the road for a good cigar, but miles ahead of dried ordure like Philly Blunts.

Smoked because of the name, not the flavor. I don't know how Macanudo did it but apperantly, everyone knows who they are. Everytime I have ever taken a novice to a cigar store, this was the default b/c they had 'heard about somewhere'. If you have never smoked a cigar or hate cigars but need one to fit in at a club this is your brand. Very mild and unassuming it won't overpower or offend. B/c of the name it is also socially acceptable.

very nice cigars, i rate these right up with the partages and several cuban cigars...

Macanudo has a beautifully made Churchill wit a wrapper that is silky smooth and slightly oily. Easy light, easy draw, and a rich, creamy flavor that stayed consistent all the way to the finish. Medium bodied bordering on mild. Way too pricey for an everyday cigar, but if you want one for a special occasion, you can't go wrong here!
