Looking back on it, I guess I have always been high church in taste, and this low church preaching does nothing for me.  I know that it grabs many, and I guess they are wired differently from me.  That being said, JJ is a great orator for his style.  I admire his blather as I would admire a movement by Handel, for instance.

I can't give him a 1 for his effectiveness, but I for one hate his bullsh#t, baptist-fire-and-brimstone, screaming-from-the-pulpit with pure-emotion-and-not-a-whit-of-reason delivery that appeals to droolers without a serious education. . .it's a delivery designed to influence dumb people with its rhetoric, repetition, and inflection. . .how on earth could MLK be dead and this jackass still be alive? Why Allah, why?

I don't have much use for this self important, self indulgent, race baiting poverty pimp, but there's no denying he's a powerful and effective speaker.
