Camel 4

Camels back then always struck me as 'bitter' tasting until what 2007 or 2008? they revised the tobacco blend and the result was a very rich and sweet cigarette that tastes like an old-school cigarette :)I will admit that Camels tend to burn a little uneven at times...but Camels are a fine smoke.

Since 1999 outside the US,Camel's producer and owner is Japan Tobacco Inc. That company bought Camel brand from R.J. Reynolds and changed the classic beautiful pack and also the blend. The most failure move to Marketing ever.
Camel was the best cigarette ever made, today is just rubbish.

I bought two soft packs of Camel Filters and didn't really enjoy either of them. The taste is decent, but isn't nearly as good as Wides or Turkish Royals. They smell alright, but they don't burn evenly. Overall they're just okay for me.

What's the deal with my Camel non-filters lately?? After 25 years of loyalty, I'm about to give up. There is LESS tobacco per cigarette. When I pack 'em down I am looking at about 1/4 in. of paper!!!!. The quality seems to have diminished as well.
I live in Houston, TX. Are we getting Mexican made cigs, american made cigs or Euro made cigs??
I'm about to go to Lucky's.

Pretty good cigarette. I don't smoke them all the time since the unfiltered tears up my throat after about a pack, but still a good cigarette none the less.

Good brand, started smokin them in '80 hanging out with old biker friends. Takes a 5 or 6 months to get use to but after that you never look back. 27 years later still smokin them. So smooth you can easily draw the smoke straight into the lungs, like breathing through a straw. I always buy fresh cartons, the numbers on the end signify create date A-L are months 1-12 two digits are year. Jan07=A07 . A pack a day is all you need so you don't have left overs for the next day that start to get stale. Smoke any less than that, your throat will start to hurt. It is a bad, expensive, destructive habit that is hard to quit, more so than the filtered smoke but the risk involved determined by doctors is only slightly higher than filter, or lights. (You may smoke more lights to compensate) If you smoke it is a great brand people have been smoking for almost a hundred years.

Camels Are My Favorite Overall Brand, they have a rich flavor that has no chemical hint to it, that any smoker could enjoy. It is When i think of a Turkish Royal I think of a rich milkshake. Perfect Flavor.

Camel cigarettes were introduced to market by RJR in 1912 less than a year after the breakup of the tobacco monopoly, and they were an instant hit, becoming the best selling brand in less than a year.  Unlike any of its competitors form those days, or even from a mere 40 years ago, they have remained one of the top brands ever since, including spells right at the top spot.  The packaging on these regular size unfiltered packs has not changed since 1912, and one is willing to lend credence to the belief that the blend hasn’t either, because it still has a bold, savory, buttery flavor with a distinctive butterscotch sweetness, a strong and authoritative taste that evokes another era.  Matched with its powerful and speedy unfiltered nicotine hit, and you have a cigarette you won’t forget.  Unfiltered cigarettes are more expensive, and, like unencumbered sex, perhaps shouldn’t be a daily indulgence.  However, if you’re going to try one, this is the way to go.  Even in the days when there were no filters, this was legendary for the strength of its flavor – and its hit.  An outstanding and thoroughly enjoyable – dangerously, addictively enjoyable – cigarette.

Nothing too spectacular...just a decent-tasting cigarette for relatively cheap. They may not be the best out there, but they certainly get the job done.

Camel cigarettes are THE best cigarette that can be bought in the United States of America. You just can't get better. On the back of the unfiltered packs it's written something to the affect that the consumer should not expect coupons or premiums as the cost of the tobaccos used in Camel cigarettes prohibits the use of them. Smoke a Camel filter cigarette or unfiltered and you will clearly see that they are not joking. The quality of the tobacco in Camel cigarettes is the kind of quality that our great-grandfathers experienced but has long since vanished with the exception of Camel. I hope they never change their ways, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Their Turkish Gold and whatever those other children's playtoy cigarettes are, is a total joke. So who knows, this may be a sign of things to come. A lot of people don't know good when it's sitting in their lap and I wouldn't be surprised if regular Camel cigarettes lose popularity against other brands that market in such a way as to appeal to America's lowest tastes.

First killed a pack of these in one sitting last summer trying to piss my ex gf off (long story). Needless to say, I was sick as hell. Fastforward to A month ago. I was having a crappy day at work and wanted something STRONG! After paying $6.10 and smoking Marlboro Reds all day I fired one of these up. My whole body buzzed. Someone help me out: is there any unfiltered cig stronger than these? 5/5 short little softpacks of these puppies.

Heaven without a filter. Still heaven with one. Camels are by far the most premium brand. Also, R.J. Reynolds will support you if you get cancer.

Several times a year I'll treat myself to a pack of old standard non filter cigarettes and Camel is my choice. Not as dry tasting as Lucky Strike and I have found that if I only smoke about 2/3 of the cigarette the flavor and smoothness remain pretty even. Once the cigarette begins to get small it overheats and becomes harsh. A pot of Columbian Supreme coffee and a fresh pack of Camels is one of my favorite indulgences.(second only to Mallowmar cookies for me and a tank full of Amoco Premium fuel for the car)

I used to smoke Newport Menthols but one day I thought i'd try Camels. Wow very smooth almost went down and tasted like they had menthol. There not as thick as Marlboro full flavors but there just right. If you smoke and havn't tryed them before try them you'll probably end up switching. The non-filters ones are really good too if you can handle it.

Camel cigarettes have been there with me since i was 15 years old. first the filters, then the unfiltered but never to the lights, and no other brand can substitute. Camel cigarettes are the best for your buck. strong and heavy, but with an almost amazing flavor. 250,000,000 cigarettes im still surprised by the taste.

Cigs are bad, especially these. Make your lungs black, they're yours. If you've ever gotta run, good luck. If you need money, there it goes. do whatever you want people but i choose to spend my money other ways. I smoked cigs too, but you feel a lot better by avoiding them. These cigs taste like crap anyways...at least switch brands

It's very good in its taste. It is so mild that it really fits after fatty meals. When I smoke it, it's a little bit strong- dizziness makes it so good. The package design is also what I like about it. The picture of the camel is not too strong, but a little bit spicy.

My Camels are like my cigarette version of comfort food. Don't give me a generic that tastes better- or else something that you have no idea what you're going to smoke. It's nice and comforting, and I always know what I'm getting.

I don't smoke and I think if I did smoke Camels would be the last things I'd smoke since they seem to be one of the harsher cigarettes out there but I'm giving them a 4 because they did such a great job of suckering in so many people to buy their cigarettes! Yeah sure they were mostly kids etc. but so what?!? Who do record companies market to? Who do clothing chains market to? Kids are smoking either way Camel just made sure they got more of them to buy their smokes than some competitors. Do I think kids should smoke? No. Do I think it's really any of my business? NO. The tobacco companies certainly aren't (or weren't) as predatory as corporations like Publishers Clearing House who make every attempt to deceive in their presentation of terms and conditions of their sweepstakes. The tobacco companies played by the rules set out by the Gov. (I'm not talking about nicotine content and deception on that level just in terms of warnings, etc.) and they were just too successful at it. There I've said my peace. Viva Joe Camel!!
