If the Rockies make the playoffs this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see them make the World Series again. They are a solid team, and have always had a good farm system. When I lived in Denver, I used to go to a few of the games, and wouldn't mind going to one right now.

Good team that should contend again for the NL pennant next year as long as the core of the team is still there. Amazing lineup...Matt Holliday is a beast.

** Last night's bottom-of-the-13th, come-back win (against one of the league's most proven closers) confirms my hunch that COL is a team that refuses to lose. Phils will have their hands full with this lineup, but it will be a tight NLDS either way. This team is as hot right now as a team can get. As a Phillies fan, I'll be rooting for the Padres tonight. I'm convinced PHL's offense has a better chance against decent pitching than PHL's pitching does of stopping COL's high-octane offense. From Tulowitzki to Helton, and from Holliday to Hawpe, there just is no quit in the Rockies' lineup.

I actually like the Rockies. I don't like that they're going nowhere good fast. I'd like to see Colorado win, but it's not gonna happen for a good while yet.

Do they even belong in this league? This team is undergoing a youth movement so expect them to finish dead last in the division.

Denver turned out to be a baseball town, too bad nobody wants to pitch every five games for 81 games there. they should 1) name the team after the city not the state. 2) make sure they start next season with a DL shorter than their roster. 3) start spending a little cash and make a run for the playoffs, I mean youre in the NL west, what else can you ask.

It's difficult to take this team seriously, but it isn't their fault: it's the fault of the Lords of Baseball who decided it was a swell idea to place a franchise in a city 1 mile above sea level. The Rockie pitchers must really hate pitching in that ballpark and it's difficult to get a handle on an offensive player's numbers when they're amassing statistics up in the stratosphere. This squad does have some very decent players, but in 2003 they don't look like much more than a .500 team, if that.

I used to like Jim Leyland when he was with the Pirates, but he really showed his true colors when he left the Rockies.
