i had heard about the reccesed filters and told my friend to pick up a pack stole a few from him and fell in love.
The only problem i have with Parliaments is the Full Flavors only come in kings while all the rest come in hundreds.
The only better non menthol is a Marb. 27 but they burn too quickly...

not bad, if you like the taste of burning paper and like to go around like an old woman...well thats the average steryotype of people who smoke these, i found them rather, well, pleasent....alittle weak but hey they get the job done, when smoking 2 at a time...and YES ATD THEY DO MAKE THEM IN REGULAR MENTHOAL i just havent seen them in over 5 years, check online you can get them pretty cheap

i smoke parliament light 100's , but i get aggravated when the last 1/8th of the hot ash before the filter jumps onto my lap while driving;thus,burning holes into my clothing & seat ! wouldn't it make sense to pack tobacco abit tighter &/or use a better tobacco adhesive ?

I have always found myself attracted to the bigger, better, and stronger. I was an avid Camel smoker for a few years... Sometimes I would grab a pack of unfiltered Camel, but those seemed weak up till the end then brought out the switch blade on my lungs....
Then... One day... I picked up a pack of Parliament Full Flavor... I fell in love! That hasn't changed to this day!
My only wish is that stores would stop discontinuing their selling of them. Most stores that I have run into just stop selling them after I buy what they have on hand. It is very aggrivating!

Parlies have never been my regular brand of choice for any extended period of time, yet I will often find myself having an affair with them once in awhile. I read the post about not enjoying using the recessed filter for a little bump of the uptown snow...keep in mind, fellow poster, that asw the recessed filter and its unmarketed but intended use was and is marketed to 5th Avenue folks and Hampton hotties who can afford to have a little bit of their yay stick to the sides.

All around, Parliament Menthols are a cigarette that I am proud to be seen or caught smoking.

I love my Parliaments! I used to smoke Marlboro Lights until one day I ran out of smokes, and a friend of my mom offered me one of her Parliament Light 100's. I really enjoyed the taste and went out and got myself a carton. I've tried the full flavored ones, but I found them a little too strong for my liking. You need to be careful holding them though, because the the filter is stiffer than your regular cigarette. More than once I've had them slip out of my fingers while driving. Every once in a while, for a change, I'll smoke Marlboro Lights or Virginia Slims, but I always go back to my Parliaments!

These were pretty good....only thing I didn't like was that it burned so fast and I don't feel I'm getting my moneys worth. I have a couple puffs here and there but next thing I know, its burning my lips and the tobaccos all burned out already...but the recessed filter is an added plus....since the additives in there are trapped further down and probably safer to smoke....but the taste is sub par and the buzz is mediocre....weak...well I'm referring to Parliament lights...maybe the regulars are better...I just wish that it wasn't all gone....it's like someone is eating your food and you look and its all gone...

tried these from a friend this winter and just picked up a pack of my own today they don't carry these babies just anywhere! i enjoy the recessed filter and the way these smoke :) very pleasant

I have smoked Marlboro lights for years. I recently bought a pack of parliament lights and i will never go back. They are awesome, not many people here in KY smoke them but i think they are the sh*t.

Parliaments are good smokes.  The full-flavor ones are exceptional if you like good strong cigarettes.  Some of the harshest I've smoked actually.  The recessed filter thing is cool I guess, adds uniqueness.  Parliament lights are a good clean smoke, not nearly as strong and harsh as the full flavors.  The one thing about Parlies, however, is they don't last long at all.  Even the 100s smoke pretty quickly.  This isn't always a bad thing, for instance, the full flavors are really strong and robust, so the quickness of the smoke leaves you satisfied but not sick.  All in all, Parlies are good cigarettes, a step above Marlboro, but they burn a bit too fast.

A cigarette with a good aftertaste. Parlies are simply good ole cigs.

Wussy teenager or girl cigarettes, they taste like your smoking dirty air, have a bad aftertaste and they dont give you any buzz. If your going to smoke, go for something full-bodied and flavorful like Marlboro or Camel. Ditch the p-funks, they blow.

smoking a pack of Parliament Full Flavors I've since changed my mind.The smooth tobacco taste and refreshing buzz makes Parliament cigarettes my new
first choice.But don't smoke the menthols or lights their awful specifically the menthol flavored.

THIS **** MADE ME WANT TO THROW UP.  NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TRY THESE!  i dont know why... but they just taste disgusting... maybe its the way they process the tobacco, but it just tastes awful...  if your a first timer, and are thinking of starting on these... dont itl ruin your experience...

Simple, dry and very bland.  Burns quickly.  Smooth and inoffensive but there’s plenty out there that’s better, especially for the full price charged.  I understand the recessed filter, otherwise a rip-off, has aftermarket uses, which at least makes the bland flavor understandable.  Competent but not compelling.

I've had a few bad experiences with the Parliament Lights I've bummed from friends ... they burn too quickly, don't provide much of a buzz, and leave a terrible aftertaste.

Amazing! I bought a pack of full flavors today and was pleasantly surprised. If you like a cigarette that has barely no aftertaste/lingering smell and has a tangy flavor to it, these are definitely the best out there. The only bad thing I can say about them is that they burn VERY fast. I think I just found my new default cigs :)

I'm not too enthusiastic about Parliaments. The full flavors make me sick and the lights taste awesome but do absolutely nothing for me. Also, I can get a much better cigarette for cheaper, so why bother with these?

people told me these were for girls but i gave them a try, they are rather cheap, i dont like the filter tip thing at all, all and all they arnt as bad as people make them sound especially for the price

Parliaments are pretty gross, and I only like them when I'm really feening for a cigarette. Most of the time, after a couple of pulls, I feel like gagging. Not sure why this is, but I get the same reaction with Wave cigarettes, too. The filter is odd; I can't flick it properly. What's funny though is that it can easily be mistaken for a joint, lol.

Parliment Lights are ok when you got nothing else to smoke,they are pretty weak taste like air.Thats probably becuase I smoke marlboro reds but cut the filter off one of these babys n smoke em n u get a crazy buzz!

Parliaments are the greatest cig ever. I fist started smoking Marlboro Lights, but a friend suggested I try one. The lights are a little weak for me, but the full flavored are the bomb. If you want one hell of a rush, smoke lights for a while and switch to these things. I was still getting buzzed by them after 3 months of smoking them. That is the downfall. Once you get used to them, you will never be able to smoke a light ever again, cause it will feel just like air. Hell, I bummed a Marlboro Red from a friend and it still felt weak as hell. Later.

I love Parliaments. Before I started smoking, a lot of my friends smoked Newports and Marlboros. I was introduced to Parlies by a roommate I had that would smoke Marlboro Ultra Lights, but then would get P-Funks when she was stressed. I am a menthol smoker myself, I started on Parliment Menthol Lights in the green and gold box (the box has since changed). The recessed filter is nice because it doesn't get all soggy and I think allows for unobstructed sucking. I've smoked American Spirit Green and Whites (menthol) with the flavor crystals in the filter, and that seems like I am sucking against resitance and not getting any smoke (I've noticed Newports do this, too). Parlies let me take in a ton, cuz I like to inhale a lot. The only thing that sorta sucks is when you are in the car especically, if you don't have a good grip on it, they have a greater tendency to fall out of your fingers because the filter doesn't let you squeeze. I've also got in the habit of blowing out the filter before I light it to get rid of the pixilies of tobacco. I've noticed others do this as well. What is the best, though, is the taste: distinctivly smooth but not weak. I've always thought it had sort of a vanilla-y aroma to it that left my fingers smelling good, too. I really enjoy the full-flavors, too, and they are a perfect step up from the lights. I smoked Kools for a while because they sell at about $2.80 at some gas stations, and I really am impressed with the taste but they give me like wheezy/itchy lungs after I smoke a pack or so, plus the box/stupid soft packs tends to fall apart in my purse and I lose a bunch. Parlies don't do this, my throat is good, and the box is very sturdy. After they changed the packaging to the more modern bright blues and greens last year (and did palm tree graphics around the filter last summer), the lid doesn't rip away at the hinges. I can have a box in my purse for like 2 weeks and it will still be good. I just wish Parliment did menthols in the buy-one-get-ones, otherwise I'm payin' full price.

Used to be a pretty religious smoker of the lights but the fullstrength in the short blue pack and brown recessed filter seemed a bit rough.

Smoke these a lot, but they've never quite become a regular for me....more like a weekend or going out type of cigarette. These smokes are good...very much like a Marlboro light, but better flavor. Recessed filter is kind of funky, but I actually like it better than a regular old filter....I wish more cig makers did this. Very consistent too....I've never had a bad one.

some of you all are crazy, parliament lights are the best cigs ever. ive always thought that marlboro lights, camel turkish gold etc are the choice of the next gen smokers. if you see a guy buying a pack of pfunks, you know he knows whats up and he's defienently smoked for a long time. i get questions all the time from people that have never seen em like are those generics? when actually they're about 30 cents more then camel or marlboros. the recessed filter is the bomb, stays firm never gets wet on your lips. they also got the best light flavor, but i admit they do burn fast as a mofo. also that taking a bump of coke off the filter thing kinda sux, i tried it and the yayo wants to stick to the paper for some reason, i suggest not doing it. if you've never tried them i suggest you go buy a pack, if you can find em that is; seems like they're never available in rural areas, and most gas station attendants give you funny looks when you ask for a pack. pfunks, hands down, best cigarette ever conceived.

Those cigs are sh**.... I can't feel them while smoking.Considering English cigs, I prefer Silk Cut or B&H...

these are ok if ur really in the need for a cig..the lights are a freakin joke and its like sucking down air and nothing else. the gap in the filter leaves less tobbacco and much to be desired, these are more the kind of cig that u bum off people that were dumb enough to buy them

There is a quarter-inch gap between the filter and the end of the cigarette - the recessed filter. I had always been told that this is the druggie's cigarette of choice because they could put some coke in the tips. However, I was recently informed that it's purpose is to keep the cigarette a little farther away from your teeth to limit staining.

These are a good cigarette. The tobacco is of high quality and the menthol are actally better then Marlboro. However, I get a headache after smoking a pack at a time, but these are good cigarettes

I switched from full flavored smokes many years ago and my personal preference has been for a white paper filter cigarette as opposed to a brown paper type such as Camel Lights. For years I smoked the brand True and only recently switched to Parliament Lights. I noticed right away that there was no bite to the back of the throat and I found it to be a smooth smoke. I cannot in good conscience recommed smoking to anyone who does not smoke but for me I have found Parliament Lights a change for the better. Cigarettes are no longer 30 cents a pack as they were when I began smoking and Parliament's buy one get one free offer makes it a little easier on the wallet.

Parliament lights with the recessed filters are for cokeheads; scoop some yay into the recess and snort away.

They would be a good cigarette if they did not have that recessed filter on the end. It feels like I am sucking on a straw. I gave an extra star for the fact that they always have buy one get one free deals.

The flavor isn't anything to cheer about, and they make me feel sick. The recessed filter is kind of neat, but doesn't save these from getting a 2 from me. Steer clear of P-Funks, and head straight to Camel Lights or Kamel Red Lights. Even Marlboros are better than these, and that's saying a lot.

I usually will smoke Marlboro Reds or Camel Turkish Royals. Occasionally I'll buy a pack of Marlboro Lights 100's, tear off the filter, and smoke these puppies backwards. So I figured if I'm gonna try Parliament I might as well go witht the full flavor. I'm not addicted, but I appreciate smoking, and especially love to smoke a flavorful, aromatic cigarette (I don't smoke cigars because I like to inhale a lot). P-Full Flavors tasted very rubbery and chemically, and the taste especially lingered on my lips. The smoke was not smooth, either. The smell reminded me of cheap bowling alleys or vegas casino, it was more of a charred tobacco smell. When smoked three of these babies in a row it gave me a stomach ache (and Lucky's or de-filtered Light 100's never did so).
