 | drskeet (0) 11/01/2007 | Romney uhhhm ....no. He would have to consult his lawyers every time we had a minor crisis. He will say whatever he thinks you want to hear. I'm tired of pandering politicians. There are better choices.

 | Tennesseetodog (0) 08/08/2007 | What a jack ass...to say his sons are helping the country by assisting in his election bid is a piss poor excuse for not serving in the US Arm Forces...again the "rich" start a war, the "poor" die.
I would not vote for this AssHole if he was the only candidate running!

 | TuscaroraJack (0) 07/07/2007 | Romney has demonstrated excellent leadership skills. He is an experienced and very successful businessman. His political skills are equal to his proven leadership and management abilities.

 | Jed1000 (72) 05/07/2007 | Mitt Romney will say anything to please anyone at anytime if it means money or votes and if he thinks he can get away with it. Yes, he won election in a liberal state.. and he did it by standing up for things that he now denounces. Never would have been elected in the first place if he'd shown his true colors to the citizens of Massachusetts. Not to mention that he was running against a boring business-as-usual Democrat. Was never able to sustain any of his vetos. That means the legislature was calling the shots.. not Mitt. And we lost more jobs during his tenure than we did during the last four administrations. He knew better than try to win again in Massachusetts. Wasn't gonna happen. That's why he's running for President. A carpetbagging prettyboy with no substance.

 | GenghisTheHun (168) 01/27/2007 | Willard Mitt Romney is a fresh face and shows an ability to win the votes of Democrats by winning in Massachusetts. He has the problem of his Mormon religion and his unknown status.
He is an interesting politician. His father, George Romney, was Governor of Michigan in the 1960's and probably the odds on favorite to win the presidency in 1968. Then George made a famous gaffe that he had been "brainwashed" on Viet Nam, and that was the end of his hopes.

 | Stephen C. Y. Pao (0) 12/07/2005 | Good Guy! There are many good details for him to become the useful Republican Presidential Candidate since 2008. He is not just the son of the former 8-year Michigan Governor, but also the professional Harvard-grad businessman. If he wants to get enough chance to be nominated to be the U.S. President easily, he has to get the 2nd term as the Massachusetts Governor. Massachusetts, the Blue-State will ruin his personality by not supporting him for the 2nd term. He is a Conservative Republican Governor of the Liberal Democrat State Massachusetts. In 1994 when he ran for the U.S. Senate against Senator Ted Kennedy, he said he is personally extremely pro-life, but publicly pro-choice. In May 2005, he mentioned that he is a pro-life governor, also oppose gay-marriages. He has many Conservative proposals blocked by the Massachusetts' Democrat controled State Senate headed by his one of future gubernatorial opponents Robert Travaglini. Romney is the member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. That hurt his poll for the reelection of the Massachusetts Governor against the Democrat Massachusetts Attorney General Tom Reilly and the Democrat Senate Majority Leader Robert Travaglini for 2006. Romney outspent Democrats by 5 or 6 to 1 and outspread his political ambition by meeting GOP governors in Florida and California. When he held his presidential ambition and heads the GOP Governor Association, Florida Governor Jeb Bush endorsed him said he is the only GOP Governor who keeps the Conservative principle. Some strategists said Mitt can be run for the VP for John McCain in 2008. From my perspective, McCain will be too old to run for the president and may lose to Hillary Clinton. I think Mitt Romney is the best Presidential Candidate for 2008. I think Mitt Romney is the best GOP candidate to run for the President and Vice-President with George Allen, Mark Sanford, Mike Huckabee, Tim Palawnty, or Norm Coleman.

 | Redoedo (39) 06/16/2005 | Has to make it through his own re-election campaign in 2006 first, which is expected to be a tough battle. Potential VP material, but I can't see him getting the Republican nod for President.

 | stolypin (3) 06/16/2005 | I don't know much about this guy except that despite having a huge Dem opposition in the legislature, he's pulling this backward state out of the toliet. I like him alot. He should run against Kennedy in '06. Those moron bay-staters would vote for Kennedy. But if he wins or comes close to defeating that murdering drunk, he'd be a Republican superstar!

 | jamestkirk (23) 04/25/2005 | Right now, I'm not sure he's a good candidate. Bottom line: he's just not well known below the Mason-Dixon line, and, like it or not, that matters a great deal. I'm sure he can be a fantastic candidate, but his PR folks better start getting him some pub down South if he is serious about getting the nomination.

 | abichara (60) 04/25/2005 | A solid candidate on paper. As Governor of Massachusetts, one of the most Democratic state in the country, Romney has shown some cross-over appeal. His moderately conservative views might appeal in primary season. However it seems as if he might face a tough re-election race next year. Should he not survive, his future prospects for higher office will drop significantly. But that said, Romney is one of the most dynamic governors in the country and he would make a good general election candidate. He'll probably run.

 | iamright (0) 03/17/2005 | He'd be a great president - very good decision maker, great communicator and debator, very intelligent, knows finances and business inside and out. He is not conservative on a few issues though, I think he is pro-abortion.
